So, we got these guys where they think they are coming to LSU. Their Dad's should not be able to buy a beer in this state. They should here Geaux Tigers after everyone is sent their way. Momma shouldn't have to buy groceries, etc... We know hospitality in this state. Treat them like family Tiger Fans!!!

I call 100% bull shite on this “they want titles” garbage.
Oh really???
Recent example... Saban has recruit in his office. Saban sets two tables in front of recruit...One table has rings on it the other has none... Saban asks “What table do you prefer?” The recruit says “The one with the rings on it.”

Now they be under the illusion that playing a Bama versus playing at some other major P5 college will give them a higher draft stock, but that’s all it is, an Illusion.
I call this 100% BS... Although you are correct in saying kids want to know how high they may go in the draft but one thing for sure kids are not under any illusion.
The fact is Alabama has a reputation for putting out high draft picks so where is the illusion you’re speaking of?? There’s no illusion about facts.
Am I saying all of the first round picks that Alabama has put out recently are worth those picks? Absolutely not...Because they’re not. But when kids see a certain program placing so many first round picks in the NFL they know their chances of going to the NFL drastically increases because of the numbers.

Some kids just love their home state.
LSU has won championships in the past and can again in the future.
LSU has a rich tradition of winning and that should be the selling point.
Not everyone wants to play for Bama. Some of these kids want to have fun and feel loved. Sometimes it’s about being a family.
Not all people think alike.

All true. And wouldn't be nice to be part of something special? Who would not want to be part of the LSU team who slayed the dragon and restored LSU as a NC winning program? To end up the new news and not old news copy. Great things to sell to these recruits from La.

I am not disputing anything you’re saying here so you must have misinterpreted my post... I’m just stating the contrary to someone else’s post

I can tell you this , my 15 yo son lives and breaths LSU . Even tho he was born in Austin and we live just outside Austin he absolutely loves LSU . He would love for us to move back to Louisiana. Funny how he even has his friends cheering for LSU now. He sees the difference in the passion from each fan base .
I like to say LSU is like a Zeppelin concert and UT is a Barry Manilow.

UT would be more like WHAM or Culture Club
Posted on 6/29/19 at 2:32 pm to NOSTRODAMUS
Wham or Culture club LOL! That would be more like A&M. Oh no wait A&M would be Frankie Goes to Hollywood or Village People LOL!!! Rick Astley would fit in will with UT.

In 1535 Richard Rich testified under oath that Thomas More spoke treason to him.
Here's where I call you some name regarding your choice of comparison, and then a

More refused to accept England, specifically Henry the 8th, as head of the Roman Catholic church. And you are suggesting that Rich lied concerning his testimony about More speaking treason to him, lying for promised person gain. When in fact Rich had been a politician for years and knew anything he did for State would be advantageous for his career, just like any politician then or now. And since More was known to be a staunch opponent of England taking control over the Roman Catholic church, it was probably the truth that More did actually speak treason to him, knowing that Rich being a politician had certain influence over others in power. Richard Rich testimony had nothing to do with anything other than allegiance to England, specifically Henry the 8th. He was a politician in England during the reign of a murderous King, not a 17 or 18 year old athlete in the 22 century USA.

This has been the immutable way for all human history.
Oh, really? That's odd you would fail to mention the persecution of Christians. Nearly 2 centuries, 64 AD to 313 AD when the Christian religion was legalized in the Roman Empire, Christians were killed for their religion. People who only needed to deny they believed that Christ was the Son of God, and they would have their lives and their freedom (which to most people are much more valuable than money) Yet chose to die for their beliefs. And that persecution still exist in some societies today.

There are a lot of people in todays world that do not sell their selves for money or even their lives. It is NOT the immutable way for all human history! HA HA HA

Maybe he and his brother were never as close as he'd suggested so many times.
Not true, he truly wanted his brother to go with him, this was always a factor to both teams and it actually almost cost Bama. Just an FYI, and this is fact not fiction the number paid was 250, that’s a fact no matter what anyone on this board can say. Satan told Sospher “to him directly” that they couldn’t do a package deal w/his brother. That is actually when Ish starting telling his parents and handler he was going to LSU, again fact not fiction. When LSU started to have too much momentum that is when Satan really sat down and figured out a solution and also when it didn’t have to give a schollie away that year because of Rodney’s grades! There was no way he was going to be eligible, so Satan put his plan on the table and sold Ish to come back to the fold
