Obviously we got a big pick-up this past week with LaCouture, no matter what people say I love the potential of a "brockers" like size. After reading a recent ESPN article on Manning leaving us out of his final three I get the feeling that the staff told him to walk.

For those who don't have a subscription to ESPN insider, Manning said: "said via text that the interest with LSU has taken a different path, but he is now focusing on Oklahoma, Texas A&M and TCU. He would not comment on whether he separated himself from LSU or LSU pulled his offer.

Does the staff feel confident with Gilmore or possibly have they gotten word of a committment and told Manning to take a hike?

For the life of me, I don't understand why these recruits sit on offers and fail to make a decision earlier, rather than later. Especially knowing that the numbers start to dwindle closer to signing date and the chance of your spot being there dramatically decreases.

I'm interested to see how Miles and Co. use their "creativity" to allow as many as three over the signing limit of 25. I mean they are at 23 now and there are a lot of rumors floating around that we should be expecting Gilmore's soon. At 24, we will make room and are among the front runners for RSJ, Williams and Beckwith. IF we land all of the above and land a surprise we could be at 28.

Guys with grade issues, also not all those might commit to LSU. Last year we got screwed by a few guys, and had grade issues. You take the guys that want in. The numbers will work out. Bama and auburn have no problem with it.

It is true LSU told Manning they are not looking at him anymore. Too much riff raff there.

It was leaked out to LSU's coaches that he have told the Aggie coaches that he had no interest in LSU and just wanted tickets to see the game. Supposedly he wants to go to Oklahoma and is just trying to get the most out of whats left of his recruitment. Can't blame the coaches for just saying don't bother coming. IMO opinion they should have did this to a few more kids that showed up to LSU this weekend.

What's cool about the staff is that they said, don't even come Manning.
But they let Scarborough have a ticket to see Bama even though they aren't recruiting him either.
