Rasco's stand-in Father has told me for the last 6 months, that he is a UT lock.

I mean I do find it off rasco hasn't really come down much and gotten acquainted with a pretty close knit group of in state players within this class, but I'd doubt we've been eliminated.

Clowney is going to play for the defensive genius in our division.

I don't know if he has narrowed it down to just FSU and Texas, but this doesn't surprise me. I kept getting the feeling that he wasn't enamored with LSU just based off what little quotes available. The good news is that we've recruited well at DE the past couple of years and one loss wouldn't kill us, although Rasco is a very good player.

Who can blame rasco?
Can you imagine the excitement of playing Kansas on Fox Sports ?
That's BIG time Big 12, for now, minus two teams, football.

Have to agree with pimp. KU, Tech, KSU...the list continues. That conference used to be great with Nebraska and Colorado but now, that conference is something even more spectacular.

I'll be mature here and say, if true, fvck it go to that elitist university in Austin.

Geiggar in his ear isn't helping LSU at all either.

The Big 12 is the most boring arse conference to watch. Even OU and UT games are hard to get excited about.

You have Texas and Oklahoma lapping the competition and not being even slightly embarrassed about it.
I'm not knocking UT.
I'm not anti-UT.They are on par with anybody.
I'm knocking that charade of a cannibalized conference.
When it started Nebraska and Colorado were perennial top 5/10 teams.
Now it's about to be absorbed and broken into bits by the Big Boys.
I have a hard time understanding why a Louisiana boy would want to endure the break-up of that conference when he could play in a healthy league on national tv every week.

Not a horrid place to play at, just a horrid conference to play in. One game a year, then about eight other conference games that not a single person outside of two/three states gives a sh1t about.

Shreveport isn't Louisana, especially Evangel. Go walk around their parking lot and see how many Texas license plates you see.

Yeah I've been. It's close to the border. Go to Lake Chuck and tell me that you won't see Texas plates. I see a ton of texas plates in BR every day. While Shreveport is certainly different then south LA, it's still LSU country.

A dishonest statement on your part seeing as nobody here believes any such thing.
We all give Texas her due.
The problem is we also give KU, KSU,Baylor,Iowa State, and the two name teams in the north that are fleeing theirs as well.
The conference is on life support.
It would be natural for an out of state recruit to consider that.

No way the conference stays together for another five years. I give it three years max. Then I see the same circus that just occurred. aTm unyielding to Texas' wishes. OU following Texas like their poor step-child even though they have no reason to act like they are second fiddle to Texas. Every other team doing whatever the hell they can to get invited with the group to the new conference. Should be interesting to see what concessions Texas will eventually make to aTm to not have them come to the SEC. UT is just too scared to sever the Texas market and too snobby to understand life with at least six other top tier programs.

It's not an excuse for the AWFUL state of conference, outside of 2 teams it will be just dismal, BUT the program is finally scheduling better than the normal cream puff OOC schedule.

UCLA - 2011
BYU - 2011
Mississippi - 2012, 2013
Notre Dame - 2015, 2016
Cal - 2015, 2016
Minnesota - Canceled

We'll see how much of that stands with the new scheduling issues, but it does say to me at least they they're looking to "beef up" the OOC schedule because the in conference games will be less than enticing.
