Thanks Coach for the updates on this process. It has been interesting to follow and I wish Quad the best in football (unless he's playing against LSU ) and in life as well.

Honestly, not to take anything away from the kid, but I agree with TigerBait. As for Vanderbilt, yeah they may be in the SEC but I wouldn't say there is much SEC caliber ball being played there. Congrats to Quad regardless though.

Congrats to him on the Vandy offer, coach. That is one hell of an accomplishment. Not only will he get to play SEC level ball, but he he'll get one of the top educations in America at no charge. Really cool stuff! Best of luck

Good deal on the Vandy offer. Will he keep his recruitment open in case others came calling?

While Vandy aren’t winning titles, that doesn’t give you a reason to poo poo that program. Reality check, outside of Bama, the rest of the SEC schools (including ours) are not winning titles either. Vandy is a good school and receiving an offer to that program is a huge thing. Keep in mind that Quad will receive more offers now that the ball is rolling.

I'm not talking education, I'm talking football here..if he goes to Vandy over an offer to play under Kiffin, then that isnt a great FOOTBALL decisions period.

Getting an offer from Vandy is a fantastic scholastic offer!

Have we spoken about his grades? How is Quad in his education goals. Doesnt he have to meet certain academic requirements at Vandy, or am I thinking of a different program?

Quads work has paid off. Good for him

Personally I'd commit to Vandy, if pressured, and then play my senior year and still take visits.....NO telling what happens and who needs a qb bu the end of the year.

Not poo poo'ing Vandy at all. They're are a Power 5 school and there's something to be said for that. Quad is one of a few in the grand scheme of things to be deemed talented enough to play football for a Power 5. I will however, disagree that getting an offer from Vandy makes him a SEC caliber QB, which was said in this thread.

I think you are talking out of your arse. Vandy and FAU are pretty even when it comes to football. And vandy has put out WAY more NFL talent... Zach Cunningham, Jordan MAtthews, Casey Hayward, Jay Cutler... So you can easily make the league while also getting a MUCH better education that you can anywhere else in the SEC. so its honestly a good football and life decision if that's his choice.
