I have a ton of respect for both Rivals and 247. From my conversations with both it’s about seeing him at camp. You are spot on there. I talk to several of the 247 guys on a daily basis and they have been very helpful.

I think time will tell in all of this. I’m confident in Quad, and I’m looking forward to him performing well at Camp.

"How am I dumb?

I don’t mentor the next great hype to go to Duke fricking University!

Again, “Coach” had NO contacts until he hit this board.

And apparently, still has NONE.

Someone else should be helping this kid.

I hope the kid finds that someone."

You're a fricking tool, bruh.

As a father, I want what’s best for my two boys, as any parent should. My father in law once asked me, “how would I feel if one or both of my boys was offered a football scholarship to Duke (being that I live in NC and I bleed purple and gold)”? I told him, that I would love to see them play at Duke bc I know that they would get a better education there. Doesn’t mean that I would want to see them play for Duke than LSU. It means, you do what you have to do if LSU doesn’t come knocking. True story.

Amen. At the end of the day I would love to see Quad end up at LSU, but my number 1 priority is him earning a scholarship, furthering his education, developing as a QB and realizing his dreams. He’s on track to do just that. I could not be more proud of him.

I once heard a saying that if a student was smart enough to get a scholarship from Stanford, they wouldn’t be stupid enough to turn it down.

Football or not, a scholly to Duke is nothing to scoff at, and there’s still plenty of time betweeen now and signing day for him to make a decision that should set him up for life. Hopefully, he keeps his focus on what matters most and chooses what’s best for him in the end.

Has it ever been discussed whether this kid is the great grandson of THE Cornelius Brown? I don't feel like scrolling through all 39 pages to find out.

This board is not only for commits. This board is for anything LSU recruiting, which this is a topic of recruiting. Seriously, were you not held as a child? You have major issues. You should hop off this site and go fix them, if that’s possible

More likely dropped.

I find it funny when people say "I don't think he has the talent to be an LSU QB." Have you seen the QB's we have put on the field in the past 10 years? We need all of the help we can get right now.

yes, I don't see a problem with this thread. Whether it is a perfect fit for this board or not it is an interesting story to follow and I would hope it would keep going all the way to his commitment or to signing day if it is with LSU.

It's the LSU recruiting board, but the entire first post of Chicken's is filled with guys we would like to come to LSU, but may have zero interest and no commitment. Stories like this are great for the recruiting board because it's about a recruit with possible interest in LSU...

it is not a board that has been exclusively for discussion regarding athletes that are either committed to LSU or have committable offers. Many athletes that neither applies are discussed yearly.

started working for them months after. I have nothing to do with there marketing either.

If you dont see how this is relevant, then I dont know what you say. You are taking money from someone to promote players, including Quad.
You may not realize it, but you are capitalizing off of quad, basically making yourself get more money off of his name.

Sorry, but this takes away a LOT of credibility from you. This is exactly what's wrong with "handlers" and such...and what's wrong with big time recruiting.

What a shame! Your name here is now tainted, rightfully or not
If quad is good, big schools will find him. No help needed...thanks

I hope he truly loves LSU and earns an offer if our staff believes in what they see.

End thread till quad camps...later

I do scouting reports and analysis for them. Not sure how I’m making money off Quad. If they want to promote Quad the same way anyone else would that’s great. Might be better did you to understand exactly what my role is before passing judgement on something that you have no clue about.

It’s not my company like I said before. If getting paid $10.00 for doing a scouting report for 365 ruins my “credibility” on a message board so be it. I work 3 jobs to support my own Children and several kids that are not my own that don’t have parents.

But hey pal. Good for you. Glad you got that off your chest. And like it or not I’m going to continue posting updates about Quad.

Sorry you're taking it personal. You get paid by a player promotional service. It IS what it is. Once you took the money, you know better than anyone that makes every player you advise/mentor part of that aituation, including quad.
Bow, if you feel being angry with me helps, by all means go ahead. I see your position as a conflict, and so do others. I also dont think it's a damn coincidence quads picture is in their marketing.
You are now a scout for them, their revenues come from kids family's and colleges (I assume)...those same colleges that recruit the players.
It's a conflict both ways, whether or not you meant it that way. If a qb was just equal to Quad, you would be inclined to rate Quad higher in your assessment because you have a personal relationship with him.
I absolutely understand you taking the money and doing something that interests you.
I hold no I'll will towards yourself. Good for you for mentoring quad...and for the gig as a paid scout.
Would Mel Kiper be in a position to be a player agent?
