Freshmen kicker at St. Fredericks is kicking 50 yd field goals with ease. I hope LSU is looking at him. One sight has him ranked as the #2 kicker in the state #18 nationally as a 9th grader.

Academically? I went there and that school is a joke lol. Not saying it isn't better than west monroe or neville but it's not really that much better than a public school education in that parish Id assume.

And will never kick in a bigtime atmosphere or game. Arent they in the same district as River Oaks?

Better than any Monroe City school. Not better than WM, especially WM's Magna Tech program.

That being said, good luck to the young man. Hope he garners a future scholarship.

I'm a St. Fred's alum....would love to finally see a St.Freds kid picked up by LSU. Not even for sure that's ever happened?

Ruston and Neville are the highest ranked schools in the entire region. Fact. Came in at 18 and 19 respectively in the state I believe. Not enough credit to the schools, especially given certain perceived demographic hurdles... Ruston leads the state in college credit hours on campus, crazy that these kids can enter as juniors now in college out of high school.
St Frederick is a good school, yes, and I really like the people associated with the school, but it's not better than the other schools. Better for some, yes, all no. My son goes to a smaller private school where my wife teaches. Great school, maybe doesn't have everything to offer bigger schools do, but we deemed it best for him at this time.
Sorry, my little rant... Just not in to this school is better than that. It's all on the individual child's needs
