His ratio is 3.1 (90 K/29 BB), only a little better than Gavin Guidry (59 K/20 BB, 2.95), and Evans (89 K/31 BB, 2.87) He also hit 14 batters, balked 4 times, and had 6 wild pitches and a 4.31 ERA. His 1.23 WHIP is not bad, though. But all of that was in the Southern Conference.
We need LHPs, I don't think I would be that gung-ho on this guy, but I would not dismiss him out of hand.

We need lefties. LSU's current talent on the roster is not an issue. As bad as they were they led in strikeouts. That tells you a lot. Problems weren't entirely pitching this year. It was awful defense in many spots that made pitching look much worse than it actually was. I'd say backend of the season is when they really disappointed but at that point, I think most of these guys were mentally checked out.

Not that all of them will make it to campus, but we have lefties out the bunghole coming in from the HS ranks.

What’s the feeling on Sheerin? He’ll definitely get drafted high enough to go if he wants. But I’d really like to have him back.
Moscona said this morning we’re in on a freshman RHP from LA Tech. But so is everybody else apparently, so he wouldn’t be cheap. Didn’t say much about him, but that he throws 95+ and would be a back of the bullpen guy. I’m sure somebody knows more about him. Hell, there’s likely a thread on him already that I just didn’t see.
And I agree that adding some LH bullpen help would be ideal, but we’ve got some. We need the best arms we can get period with whatever money we have left.
