4-Star LSU football commit Jeryl Brazil just posted on FB that he broke the national record in the 200 within the hour (20.82).

He didn't break the national record, but he ran the fastest 200 time in the nation this year and broke the 3A state record I believe. Too bad it was wind illegal (+3.5) so it will technically not count. For those who don't know, that +3.5 in all honesty doesn't mean crap, that kid proved today he can fricking fly. He still has a year to improve, too.

Yep, seems a little confusion out there...

Lot of confusion about track times today. Let's compromise by saying this: LSU football commits Jeryl Brazil and Kavahra Holmes are fast.

OCD correction from earlier. Jeryl Brazil (Loranger HS) is an LSU commit. Kavahra Holmes (Breaux Bridge) is an LSU signee.

Incredible time! Make no mistake about it, you will see a difference in your time if that 4 MPH wind is in your face as opposed to your back.

Jeryl's time is impressive no doubt, and not take away from it, but Kavahra's time is even more impressive. Too bad Kavahra's track success won't equate to football field success like Jeryl's will.

I love Dural. Most underrated recruit in the state last year.

Looks like Dutch Town got them selves a 5A Track title. The kids on that team deserve a ton of credit along with all of the other winners in every classification including but not limited to 4A and 3A - Congratulation to all the young men and women super stars of our state........

He's a senior @ Rummel and won the 100, 400 and the 800!

Crap how did he do that. When I was in high school they always ran the 400 and the 800 back to back. Always pissed me off because that is the two events I wanted to run but could never run both.
