LSU has taken as many questionable guys this year as last year and way less than 2008.

For some reason Bama fans have the idea he's being rated as a SAFETY when he's being rated as an ATHLETE.
Another site I post on a Bama fan said "there is no way he's a better safety than the guys we have committed"

I can only think of 2 questionable guys (guys people didn't know a lot about) that the recruiting services "hyped up" (to 4-stars)...gibson and mathieu

Gibson was under the radar. I don't know many that heard about him until Lsu picked him up. Since then though, he's gotten alot of interest. Seems like a great pick up for yall.

The Gumps refuse to believe that Gibson is worth a shite, its just retarded. They also refuse to believe anything the Prattville coach says about Gibson. IMo they are in full denial that Saban missed one, and the only basis they argue on is the fact that he had no Au or UA offers.

That's fair to say because he's a Sentimore/Lacy caliber player, IMO.

I have a hard time considering either of those guys as questionable. I think they will be very good players for LSU. Now Williford and the cat from Selma, that's a different story.

yeah, neither of those guys are questionable to me, mainly b/c its easy to evaluate dbs and see if they will be good in college, particularly if you can work with them at a camp like the LSU coaches did
the only questionable guys to me are Blackmon and Houston Bates- thats b/c they are both d-line guys and to me that is one of the toughest positions to evaluate b/c most of its is based on potential and how they will develop
bates scares the hell out of me b/c he is a big time tweener, good athlete all around but isnt big enough for de but is a little too slow/not athletic enough for linebacker

Neither is questionable. Gibson is solid and Les just pulled the trigger and offered him early. It doesn't really matter if he is a 3 or 4* at this point, but as an athlete you can justify him being 4*. Mathieu is the real deal. He could easily be 5* at his projected position after his camp performances. What difference does it make who knew what about him before that? Like somebody else said, I think we have one or two question marks, which is just about average, but these two are not among them.
