Just entered the portal we should definitely look at this guy. He made several big plays against us the last years and have solid numbers on the year.

I dont know that we'll be looking for any LB in the portal if all we lose is Speights

We’re thin at experience at the position this guy has played in some huge games. I don’t see why the staff wouldn’t consider him after seeing the results of this years defense you take any difference maker.

The staff shouldn't "Like" anyone but Perk and Weeks. Spieghts and Penn are two of the slowest LB's I've seen suit up for LSU.

A solid front 7 can help a weak secondary especially if we have some better players come next fall in coverage

If you compare Penn to Speights, you want Penn 10/10 times.
Speights is that kid in HS who is real athletic and his mom made him try out. He doesn't want to be out there, so he pretends to almost make a lot of plays.
Penn at least tries, and occasionally makes nice plays.

Rolling with what we got took us out of being a Top 5 team last year. I am not in favor. Get the best you can get and don’t be afraid to hurt feelings.
