I was looking up some info on Jayden Daniels as a transfer in 2022, specifically who was his recruiter. But in the meantime I looked at the TP player rankings and this is what followed for QB's:
Caleb Williams #1 - Heisman
Max Johnson #7 - Bust
Connor Bazelak #9
Jayden Daniels #11 - Heisman
JT Daniels #14 - Bust
John Rhys Plumlee #17
Bo Nix #19 - Heisman Finalist
Michael Penix #23 - Heisman Finalist
and several I never heard of... obviously these ratings are pretty suspect and player's development depends on where he goes and who he has to play with.
Never did figure out who reeled in Jayden when he entered the portal.

Who was the moron that evaluated Max Johnson as a better prospect than Jayden based off of his awful body of work at LSU, terrible awareness, stone feet, and total lack of the clutch gene?

That was what clued me in on this topic. There were a few decent ones on there but most were trash. Max #7... wow

They may have been giving Max the benefit of the doubt because of his situation at LSU. He has a big arm and a pedigree.
Some people on this board thought it was a great loss for LSU.
I still chuckle at the missed opportunities for announcers when he was at LSU.
Max Johnson to Boutte for the score

I thought the same thing then noticed Bo Nix in the 20’s who was also on a terrible team and is 100x more physically talented than Max

Recruiting services “re-evaluating” transfers seems weird to me especially the players they missed on during their initial evaluations.

Portal re-evaluations are terrible.
Their original rankings were much better

Huh? Big arm? Are you kidding? IMO, he has a below average arm for a starting QB in the SEC. And if you haven't noticed, the guy just loves to throw the ball falling backwards/off his back foot. He also takes way too long to scan the field. I did think he was pretty accurate when he did get the ball off. As far as being the son of Frank Johnson?, I don't remember his dad but sometimes genes work out and sometimes genetics skip a generation.

Brad Johnson is his father.

This tells me I shouldn't take anything you say seriously.

My God man, I put a damn ? mark after his dad's name! You think small, guy...downright tiny! What's next...looking for misspelled words?
BTW, I wasn't the one who AMAZINGLY claimed that Max Johnson has an arm of note...his arm is below average. His passes have a hump in them that a camel would be proud of!

Just going by the a few things I read online when discussing his value. What I read discussed him having an SEC-caliber arm when he took the time to set his feet and throw. But also that he more often than not throws off his back foot which hampers his delivery.

You wrote a question that read like you weren't impressed by his dad Frank

You're the one who came in hot when I simply told a guy why they might have rated Johnson as high as they did in the portal but couldn't even take a second to look up who his dad was?
By the way, Garret Nussmeier's dad, Doug, was also a QB in the NFL and CFL though he did not see much NFL playing time. He probably better know as a coach now.

I must admit, I am sort of a grammar nazi, which is ironic considering how many mistakes I make.
How about we call a truce for now
