If it is SMU I wouldn't be surprised. Easy drive home or mother and brother come to him within 30 minutes.

SMU doesn’t even have a scoreboard currently and their stadium atmosphere is weaker than most high schools in the area.

He is going to be a 1st rd pick any place he goes. Do I think he will go to SMU? No. If he did go that would be the main reason why because of his brother. If a school paid me a ton of money I don't think I would care about a scoreboard. Lol

If he’s trying to drive his NIL value up committing to a place like SMU honestly isn’t a bad play.
Everyone knows they have boatloads of money and Texas will pay whatever it takes to get him. It would create a nice bidding war up to signing day.
Unfortunately I think that’s where LSU is in a tough spot here. Simmons is a cannot lose for Texas. They’ll pay whatever it takes.
