They sure brought back dark memories of Les Miles offense when I watched them. Get 2-4 first downs, then an offsides or a holding call and having to punt. Repeat at least 7 times.

New: There's another twist in the race for 5-star RB Zach Evans.

Evans will no longer announce his decision tonight, per @CraigHaubert.

For a while I wanted this kid but this kid is full of himself. He won’t even announce today. Something is wrong with this kid.

Sometimes a person’s destiny is nothing more than to serve as a warning for others.

Can you imagine if we had gotten Evans and Jarrett? Jesus they’re talented, but what a mess

I get that these kids want the spotlight. I totally get it. But this dude is over the top. I don’t think the kid signed with anyone. If he did. He would announce today as planned.

My first thought is he isn’t eligible yet. He took the act a couple of weeks ago.

Everything about this kid screams “I will be totally fine entering a loaded RB room, competing in practice, and waiting my turn”

He better reconsider playing college football at all, this dude has much bigger mental problems going on.

I'll be surprised if he ever suits up for any college football team.

His eligibility doesn’t matter. He already signed with Georgia. Something fishy is happening

DISCLAIMER: pure theoretical speculation on my part

I posted buried somewhere in one of the other Evans threads that the circumstance might be that he did not take the ACT early enough. If he waited until the mid-Dec test he wouldn't get grades till Dec 26th, which was after ESP. Furthermore, if he didn't have the scores he would have to wait till Feb test and miss the opening of the regular signing period (which runs through April).

He missed a playoff game (Dec), or part of one, to take the ACT. My speculation is that the only reason(s) you do that is:
a) waiting too late and it was absolutely necessary to make that test.
b) found out Dec 26th scores on section(s) were not high enough
c) just felt like being 'that guy' to his HS coaches/team

This all means he goes to Bama. They always get their kids eligible.

just pointing out he might end up being eligible, but if he/handlers procrastinated and didn't have their ducks in a row the dates this year in regards to ACT scores are 'unfavorable' as they fall in regards to signing periods.

Other two posters are right- this screams eligibility issue. Which may be a result of grades/scores, or could be because of dates and how they fall this year.

I think we've seen enough evidence that he's putting more faith in his handlers than his coaches/school counselors. I can certainly see them warning him that waiting until Dec to take the ACT was a mistake and his 'camp' telling him no worries.

And all this 'stuff' might simply be cover for embarrassment for not having their ducks in a row.
