ESPN Top 300 (2028)

I know these rankings are still early and they’ll change over the next couple of years, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I looked through ESPN’s current Top 300 for the 2028 class.
Only five Louisiana kids made the list, and the highest-ranked player is No. 139. Maybe it’ll look completely different by signing day, but if the current list is even close, I’d be shocked. Louisiana has been producing elite football talent for generations. Every cycle, players from the state end up proving people wrong and making major impacts at the highest level. I’m interested to see how this list evolves, because I have a hard time believing there are only five top-300 players in Louisiana. ESPN is a JOKE.

Aren’t these sophomores going into their junior season?

Louisiana players are almost always underrated by ESPN, it seems. They're just sheep that think states like Texas are vastly superior, even when I've personally witnessed Louisiana teams beat Texas teams on a yearly basis. Ruston alone seems to beat one or two every year.

I think, at least historically, that Louisiana players in general had less exposure to the national recruiting services, etc.
We also have underrated stud athletes at smaller schools that become great college players. If they lived in Texas, they'd probably start on some 6A school and be 4 stars.
It might be less so now, though.

Also ESPN is just trash for recruiting.

Wtf actually pays ESPN for recruiting news? That's what I want to know.

ESPN is the most inaccurate recruiting site of them all
