But you dont honestly think he will onside kick every time though. I can see going for 2 now and then because you have LF and some other talented kids.

Didn't Curtis struggle with the kicking game as well? I know when we played them in the 90's they did fake punts, etc...

No, but honestly I can't stand onside kicking unless it's strategical, and not the gimmicky crap, or in the other words: Just to run up the score!!

all of my St Aug contacts seem to think LF is an LSU lean at this point. I am not quite sure why everyone seems to think he is Bama's to lose simply because of the coaching staff in place at Aug

When he was at SP, it was strategical and wasnt done to run up the score. They were horrible at kicking.

I think/hope he does well at Aug. And he isnt as bad as some are making him out to be. As for Holmes, cant speak on him

I think it has to do with Collins and how Holmes handled Davis

Aug has a guy that graduated from Bro Mart and kicked in college volunteering to coach special teams this upcoming season. I doubt they do all the gimmicky stuff as their specialists will probably be getting more instruction than Crutch was able to do at SP, due to low numbers and what not.

yes it said, “Bama commit Leonard Fourneette” / when i checked the preview they had changed it / sorry, i can’t prove it / maybe there was some confusion with the ESPN webpage as to why or what connection “Tide Nation” had to a kid from New Orleans or why such a comprehensive article was supplied by them.

That article was hilariously absurd. Kid was trying to write like he was William Faulkner.

caught me off guard, then when i saw the title and that it came from “Tide Nation” I said to myself, “Sweet Mother of God and at what lengths and the kid’s only a junior?"

As mentioned a bunch on here, LF and his family live in Slidell now so the only explanation I can come up with is that this goober called him up and LF was just fricking with him.

unfortunately, these kids get all this attention and then like Landon Collins milk it to the dregs. Some think better of it and commit early leaving all the fleeting fame behind.

But coach Crutch is definitely an ignorant piece of shite to be honest.

+1000

That is the understatement of the year.
He is an absolute turd.
Been on the sideline holding the chains when my sons team played against S. Plaquemine and he was cursing his corner back after we threw a pass on him.
Told him he won't be F'n laughing when he gets to practice Monday.
Flat out a-hole.

Don't worry.
That's why they have Decarlos Holmes there.
To keep things running in a responsible manner.
Think of him as the VP of Ethics....

"i disagree. I think he is a fabulous rb. i hope he go's to lsu.

With that said, he's a rb. dime a dozen. you don't get him, you will get someone who is very good and put up comparable numbers.

a must get? nope,"

I can't believe this is really a mainstream thought. So Bama getting Trent didn't affect their run for the BCSNC? I think SO! LF is another TR or maybe even better. LSU NEEDS him & will get him...

Those 2 statements alone shows why you show read more/post less.

Given the fact LSU/Bama are top tier teams means that they will get top tier recruits.
Could Bama have done what they did with another top tier RB..I'd say most definitely.

Trent is a proven top tier RB ...HS players though highly touted are NOT YET PROVEN.
So it's hard to say he is as good or better.
That statement is hypothetical at best.

You dumb.
1) he made it to the dome in 99 with Chico Mackey.
2)He won it in 02 with KP, Josh Mackey, and Terrence Jones.
3) Katrina happened in 05 and he lost his best players to Bastrop including Randall Mackey.
4) He then proceeded to win two more. Crutch can coach.
