Looks like a tight race between LSU,Alabama and Florida. Seems like Florida impressed GW.

Damn you need a woman. I say that because you sound like one. Those type of posts are detrimental to the LSU cause.

detrimental to what? If they're that fragile, they don't need to suit up in the SEC. These attention whores love to play the game and keep everybody guessing. They know where they're going, but feel compelled to wait for ESPN coverage to play the douchy hat game, pull a hat from a bag from a box, set a puppy on the table or some other bullshite.

Okay you have a point but these are kids. There is nothing wrong with teenagers wanting attention. Yes it sux what his brother did last year on national tv but most kids aren't like that and that is not the norm.

Most Louisiana kids want to represent the state and I think GW will be one of them while also wanting to be a part of one of the greatest classes in college football history next year here at LSU.

But "most" is gonna start biting us in the arse if we continue to consistently lose the LC and the like. Now, we're gonna have serious battles with little bro and Fournette. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "if you're not a tiger, you're tiger bait"/"we'll move on with someone else". That's all fine and dandy to help one sleep @ night, but, some of these 5* guys will pan out. It's gonna begin to look bad, show bad, and feel bad if we continue to lose these kids OOS, particularly to The Hobbit. The fact that they make put on a national television spectacle doing it, stings even more. I wish for an early signing period and the non-televising of decisions, but, I digress.

Never saw the article linked or quoted.

Willis:
quote:

Alabama is one of three schools that stand out early in the recruiting process. Florida and LSU are the other two. Willis recently visited Florida, and according to his mother, he had the same look in his eyes that Collins had when he first visited UA.

The truth about Momma's allegiance:
quote:

In truth, April Justin says she wasn't pulling for LSU because she was a fan of the school. Search her home in New Orleans and you won't find a swath of purple and gold memorabilia. The only indication of athletics are the framed letters written to Collins from coaches across the country.

"That's what they assumed. I was never a college fan," Justin said. "I know that if he would have gone to LSU he would have went in as a safety with his mentor (Eric Reid). I knew it was a win-win situation for him to get on the field."

ETA:
Bama newspaper twits it around a little: Al.com

Headline:
quote:

Landon Collins' mother changes her tune about Alabama

quote:

Months later, with Collins now enrolled at Alabama and working out with his future teammates, Justin has not only accepted her son's school of choice but is actively rooting for the Tide, according to a story from ESPN.

Justin's other son Gerald Willis, considered one of the top defensive line prospects in the nation for the Class of 2014, is currently being recruited by nearly every major program in the Southeast and while she said she wants her son to make his own decision, she admits she is rooting for him to choose Alabama.

"I really would love to see them play together," Justin said. "That'd be once in a lifetime, like winning the lottery, to see them on the same team."
