I definitely agree with that.
I just think the distance to Eugene may become a factor... and if he was so hyped about them, why not commit on his visit a month ago? Why not do it at the AA game? I think it's because he/his family are beginning to realize exactly how far away that really is... but that's just like my opinion man.

Any darkhorse that he's looked at? A Texas A&M, OK State etc.?
We have 3 for 2011 but in my opinion only 1 true back for this year. Ware of course, Gore looks like a punt returner/third down back, and Blue is iffy on grades and could be a LB.

a guy like lache will not be scared off by oregon's depth chart imo. the kid is pretty damn confident in his abilities. distance could be a factor, but with his outgoing personality i can't see it stopping him. he'd be a perfect fit for their system.

No darkhorses.
It's Oregon, LSU, AU basically. I'd be shocked if he ended up anywhere else.
And I agree, Ware is the only true RB in this class. Gore brings some interesting skills to the table, but he's not an every down type of back.

LaMichael James is from Texas too.
Just sayin'.
Just sayin'.

They could end up with their entire RB stable being from Texas in James, Dontae WIlliams and Lache

With USC and UTs recruiting being a cluster-frick, he may want to get on his horse and commit soon.
Several of UTs commits have reopened their recruiting, and USC may see the same before its over, and there are limited numbers of scholly's and postions available.
Before yall say im nuts, didnt Florida turn away the number 6 player in the country becuase they are out of space?

Yeah, but here's his other offers:
Arkansas
Minnesota
Mississippi State
Missouri
Nebraska
TCU
Tulsa
And remember this is 2 years ago so Nebraska was sucking and Arkansas had just lost their coach.
ETA: Oregon's RB coach is from Texas though and he's a damn good RB coach.

You could insert LSU for Oregon and it still applies. LSU needs Backs for the upcoming season.

What are you waiting for? He's not coming to LSU. We have 3 commits for 2011 & 3 for 2010. It's apparent the staff has recruited knowing that LS wasn't coming to LSU.
Normally, I would agree with this type of logic. But, this time, I wouldn't be so sure. If LS didn't think he had an LSU offer I imagine he would have dumped his from his list like he has almost everyone else. I think LS thinks he has an LSU offer and I think he does have an LSU offer.
Yes, we have verbals from 6 RBs already but only 1 is currently listed as a 5 star RB and his game/style is entirely different from LS.
This could get dicey but with a few redshirts in this class and next year's class I bet LSU feels certain that they can easily spread these guys out over the next 3 classes. If it happens, this won't be the 1st time LSU has signed 4 RBs in one class.

Why is OU now recruiting D. Baxter? Do they know something we don't? Those are question on one has asked or noticed. So if Baxter and Gore are the same style as Lache then maybe Lache is going somewhere else. Hmmmmm we will have to wait and see.

Coach Porter is recruiting him for Memphis:

Memphis' tie to Seastrunk appears to be new U of M football coach Larry Porter, who was hired in late November. Seastrunk was recruited by Porter when Porter served as running backs coach at LSU, the school he left to take the Memphis job.
