Honestly I wish someone would do a statistical study on how often kids who flip multiple times and or last minute end up flopping

yeah, Jordan Elliot was committed to Baylor, then Michigan, before signing with Texas at the last minute. He gone too.

It seems like more often than not kids that spurn us last minute like Fowler REALLY end up not working out

I think that is true- sometimes these things work out for us in the end. At this point, is Fowler even worth considering? That along with fact you can say he tried to 'stick it to us' so I say no, we don't need him...

I would hope the staff wouldn't bother with this guy. He could've been at LSU if he wanted to be. Instead he told our coaches what they wanted to hear and waited until the last possible minute to give them the finger and jump ship. Besides, if his work ethic and grades were so poor he couldn't hack it at UT, he wouldn't make it here either. Have fun in juco.

I probably wouldn't reach out to him...but if he reaches out to LSU, admits and shows accountability for his mistakes, you listen. Lay down the law, tell him this is how he do things at LSU and you're either 100% in or 100% out, and if he agrees, give him a chance.

Has it been confirmed that he left ut? The article sounds like it was a rumor that hasn't yet been confirmed.

Wouldn't contribute to recruiting rankings now, don't need him.

Recruiting rankings contributions? So now that's how we decide on taking a transfer?
Meh, I'd rather use talent evaluation and performance, if it's ok with you

Hard to say on him now. He didn't play much on a worse D than LSU. Of course he was just a true FR. He is a more difficult decision than the T Tech fellows that had good stats there and were entrenched starters.

More times than not the kids who spurn us last minute or end up committing elsewhere and trolling us in one way or another end up not developing into even decent college players, let alone good ones. At the end of signing day, the guys we end up with are truly the ones we always wanted here all along. So many times have I seen things happen that ruin careers for say guys like Hootie, Tony Brown, Erick Fowler, Speedy Noil, Gunner Kiel...just to list a few.

asking for clarification only:

not over in the sense UT will try to prevent the transfer (get him to change mind)?

or

not over in the sense that there's more info (presumably negative) about why or how it went down, e.g. was actually suspended?
