No more Ivy League players, period.

I think its a consensus that Wilson is better than Shanahan....so I wouldnt judge him by 'Harvard' or Shanahan. And I dont think Shanahan is THAT bad.

Yea, I don't believe this.

And to the previous poster, yes we need young guys. But there is nothing wrong with taking a transfer to fill holes. Everyone does it, even Alabama and Clemson.

Our entire line is rumored to be returning.

Rumored by who? Because that’s not the buzz at all as far as I can tell

I know we need offensive linemen, but do we really need to accumulate the entire line from Harvard?

Thats like thinking the Saints would draft a wide receiver from Hofstra, an offensive guard from Bloomsburg State, sign a free agent middle linebacker from Montclair State and sign a kick returner from Assumption College. You would have a better chance of just signing some delivery man on a beer truck than to sign those stiffs.

Only thing dumber would be LSU accepting a transfer kicker from Assumption College. Boy would this board have a field day with that one. Imagine that guy lining up for a game winning field goal on the road in front of a hostile crowd at say Auburn. He would just freak out.

Sure, lets raid Havard's entire line while we're at it. How about we recruit and develop talent instead?

Shanahan, IMO, is not the weak link. In addition, he is the best Center on campus. I hope he stays.

Well...shite. We're in trouble then because he's not good. He's awful and always in the backfield. That's not exactly a compliment to say he's the best we got when he's not good. I don't know what games you watch but he gets penetrated more often than not and plays get blown up through him. Yes, he's a weak link on a bad line.

Shanahan is already on the team. This has nothing to do with him.

Transfers are part of college football. Everyone takes them.

There’s nothing wrong with filling a few holes with transfers.
