With a redshirt, it's three years. So after this redshirt year, he will have two years remaining to play.

What do you mean where would you play him? Where do you play him now? He would be a DEnd. That’s essentially what he is now. 3-4 is horrible. You cannot get pressure unless you blitz and that’s not something we do too often. We never out number any team up front. Our linebackers just aren’t that great. They are serviceable and decent, but not great.
4-3 with stud linemen , bringing blitz with backers would give us an advantage that we simply don’t have now.

I live about 40 minutes from his high school and we played them in the playoffs my fresman year (8 years ago). They are in the toughest region of 7A in Alabama (the top classification). His competition is legit. They also played Hoover, Thompson, and Pinson Valley this year as well as other top schools in Bama and the country.

I thought I saw Fonua on special teams coverage vs. A&M. Has he played in 4 or less games and getting a redshirt?

That's what impressed me with this kid..he plays against very good schools. His team is in a class 7AAA division. They go up against some of the best teams in AL and in the SE..Hoover, Thompson (Tua's little brothers school), Pinson (Consistently in Playoffs) etc.. if hes running through them big boys like that then he's a stud!

I’m sure the staff has a plan but I hope the lines of communication with Jalen Lee are still open just in case
