“LSU is home, so I wanted to go to the out-of-state schools,” Emery told SEC Country. “That was major for me to branch out and see the change. I’ve been to LSU the most out of all the schools. LSU games are the only games I’ve attended besides the Mississippi State spring game. I’ve been around LSU a lot. Other people didn’t see it like that; they thought I was branching away, but that’s not it.

“LSU is home. It’s right around the corner. I know LSU is going to be at the top for me. The offense that they’re running now, the new offensive coordinator. Those are things I’ll be looking into my next visit.”

So, after exploring his out-of-state options, what’s the urgency to make his way back to LSU?

Emery has commitment on his mind.

“I’ve been looking at all the schools I’ve been at and comparing them,” he said. “I’ve balanced the schools and basically, it’s time. Why wait so long if you already have the school you want? I’m not for sure going to commit this summer, but that’s what I plan on [doing] after visiting these schools and finishing comparing them. I’ll go to LSU and to Tennessee, then make a move. That’s a plan of mine.

“I feel like it’s time. At one point, I started feeling one college more than the other colleges. I have my eyes on one college right now, and after going to these different colleges, I got a feeling that you get when you feel like it’s home already. I’m feeling that school and that’s what makes me want to commit. I may wait it out and be patient, though.”

quote:

“Most of those players are from The Boot, so that’s a connection. I basically know everyone on LSU as far as players and there’s two players I played with on LSU,” he said, referring to Glen Logan and Justin Jefferson. “The coaches are outstanding. When I met them, it felt like family, and I can’t say that for every school I’ve visited. I have a great relationship with Coach O [Ed Orgeron]. He keeps it real.”

Emery will be visiting LSU this weekend. One caveat is that his dad went to Tennessee so with UT and LSU as remaining visits he could pull the trigger for Tenn, but it seems we are in better shape then we thought. I hope so because he is my favorite of the 3 RBs based on what I see on film, but as long as we get 2 out of 3 I will be happy.

After watching the spring game I would say CB and running back are tops on our list. Although I'm less concerned about CB's but one or two injuries and we in trouble.

Watched his H.S. tape and he looks a lot like Guice did in high school and maybe a touch faster. Hope he's in the P&G come signing day.

This is what he said: "The offense that they’re running now, the new offensive coordinator. Those are things I’ll be looking into my next visit.”

Not the same thing unless there was another quote I missed.

The way he says one school feels like home and he’s gonna commit to it soon and the way he keeps referring to LSU as “home” leads me to think certain potentially optimistic thoughts...

If we get Emery to go along with Davis, we've killed it at the RB position. I don't care who anybody else gets, that combo will be Chubb/Michel level good.
