Children, behave...lol...back to Marvin...come on down to a warmer and friendlier Tiger Stadium...the winters are brutal in Columbus...below zero often and frozen field of play...and the food is much better in Louisiana...lol

But many Katrina victims are very happy to be back in Louisiana to play their college football...I've been to Columbus 3 times and can't think of even one reason to return...very average town...and the winters are not pleasant at all...and the summers are humid to boot...

Even with the depth on the DL next year CEO should still be able to sell him on playing time with most of those guys leaving after Wilson's freshman year.

He could see plenty of the field as a fresh and could be a leader on the DL as a Sophomore if he lives up to his potential.

With all that talent Valentine will either sink or be a semi pro NT, he's awfully raw and was still better than Gilmore. If he would just work the boy could be a monster inside and I mean a monster. O and Jenkins need to really sit down with that boy and open up his eyes. Our DBs need to get better and if we land Wilson all we will need to do is land 3 top linebackers next year then build from there. We just need some to commit once here they will shine and bring others.

Truth..
Lacouture is probably the least likely to start.

There are just two many guys in front of him that are better assets. He was getting juggled around the line early this season because they could g find a spot for him..

Godcheaux
Herron
Lawrence
Alexander
Valentine
Logan
Shelvin

Would all get snaps ahead of LaCouture in my opinion. The dude is just not that good.
Gilmore is the only guy on the line that has little to no impact plays that I can recall. If you are in the game, and you are not making plays..
Then you are not a playmaker. I'm sure to here the stuff about how LaCouture eats up blocks. BS... What plays has he made? Godcheaux gets in at the same positions, and creates constant pressure, despite double teams. Herron has mostly played spot duty and you see him the backfield, making plays, more than some guys that are starters. I literally can't recall any significant plays that Christian has made.

Well kudos to you if you can remember significant plays from a defensive tackle that hasn't played in a year.

This is Wut

It's a long article about Spring practice. Read toward the bottom, at what Aranda commented about needing from a DT.

And this wasn't the only quote I read about this. I'all have to do more research.

Wilson is an LSU lock.

If we get Wilson...
We will be absolutely set at the D-Line spot for quite some time...
Lawrence and Alexander both showed well as true freshmen. Adding Shelvin and Wilson would be a nightmare for all of our opponents. I'm hoping we get this guy.
Nobody can promise early playing time to players like we can. Godcheaux has started since his first game. At LSU, it is a fact that the best players will play. Especially at the DL and DB positions.

Have to run a 4-3 next year. You have to put your talent on the field. DL>LB in 2017

Which of these guys would kick out to play DE? Seems like they're all interior guys that would play tackle. Which means instead of having 3 on the field at a time, there's only 2.

The linebackers will work themselves out. Losing beckwith sucks but Aranda seems to be a great LB coach.

Rather have a really deep DL for young Linebackers to play behind

Gilmore started the whole season a NG and you don't have in the 2 deep for '17?

LSU very seldom played a 3-4 last year. Mostly nickle with a 4-2 or 3-3 look depending upon whether Key was standing or in a three point stance.

The pitch to the linebackers should be that they will barely get touched with the depth at DL. They will be running around like wild beast. They should have record tackles this year.
