LINK

Big time target for us and Ohio St. Mom ran track at OSU, Dad ran track at LSU.

OSU has 3 top CB’s already committed but is apparently recruiting Brew as a CB/S hybrid.

Would loveeeee to get him, Pickett and Delane… on top of Antoine. Corey doing work getting us in the conversation with these top guys.

Why stop there? Stack all the DB talent you can.

Scholarship limits maybe? You can’t afford to go after bodies or numbers. gotta target high level talent at each position and lock them up

Have to feel like they’re in a good position with OSU picking up another today

How in the world does OSU have this much pull in TX?

They have a pipeline from Urban and coaching staff. They’ve implemented very well. They’ve done great in Austin most.

All the guys we’re talking about are 4 and 5 stars. If you told me in some fantasy that we could have 6 of the top ten corners this year, I’m sure BK would find a way to make it work.

They also have maybe the best recruiting staff in America. Minimum 3 elite guys in Hartline, Johnson(DL) and the DB coach(Walton i believe/also the TX guy if not mistaken). No one is better than Kirby Smart at the HC position but pound for pound OSU can rival their staff. Those 2 are on a different level as recruiting staffs. Ours currently has that potential. Doesn't hurt that both have their NIL collectives running smoother than most.

OSU has top two CBs committed so I’d think that puts us in play here

Defies logic. Southern kids going up north to play in the cold makes no sense. When it makes no sense, money is always involved.

They have 3 CB's total committed...

Na'eem Offord - #5 overall, #1 CB
Devin Sanchez - #6 overall, #2 CB
Blake Woodby - #70 overall, #8 CB

Dorian Brew is ranked #23 overall, #3 CB

They're also the favorite right now to get Trey McNutt (#34 overall, #5 CB). He's from Ohio.

Their CB class is ridiculous.

I don’t think Sanchez stays committed to them but that’s a hell of a cb haul. LSU will get theirs though.

I'm not sure what to think of OSU's collective. A year ago, Ryan Day was crying poor about needing $13M to go out and get a team + Gene Smith was openly complaining about kids asking for $$$ to visit. Now they're dropping bags like Christian Dawkins on steroids.

Wouldn't hurt for Bayou Traditions to follow that blueprint, at least in terms of fundraising.

I personally think Sanchez is the most likely of the 3 to sign with OSU. I know this doesn't always mean anything but his father is extremely active on social media recruiting kids to OSU.

Offord is going to be tough to hold no matter who had his commitment this early. Right in the center of SEC country and every staff is going to use the other CBs committed against OSU.

If OSU can sell Brew on playing safety, then get McNutt, it would be incredible. I just don't see all 5 of those kids signing with one school however

Not saying money has nothing to do with it but this has been going on long before NIL.

I’m from Houston and a 5* lineman from my HS went to OSU back in like 2008. They’ve had a presence in the south for awhile, but I agree, no clue why.

I imagine they have gotten pretty good at selling the fact that so many NFL Rookie of the Year players come from there

Rumor is Day wanted to spend, and the AD didn't. Now that there is a bit more clarification on rules do/don'ts for NIL, and the AD is outgoing, OSU has seemed to be more willing to spend.

However, OSU spends more on established players over recruits, which is what has lost OSU some players recently. There's no world where 2 chicago 5* level kids should have "spurned" OSU for Miami last year. Now there are rumors the NIL packages aren't going to be what they promised at Miami. Shocking for sure

All makes sense. With Bjork going to OSU, willingness to spend is definitely going up... but letting Ryan Day spend vs. letting Bimbo spend is a much smarter way to get return on that investment.

And you mean to tell me that the packages backed by John Ruiz, the guy accused of fraud, aren't going to be as promised?!? Never saw that one coming, lol
