I have no sources. Look at my post history. I’ve said how easy it is to get people to believe you and followed up by saying I have no sources.

So Bama is taking Ricks just to keep him from other teams and not because he’s the number 2 cb in the country?

Wouldn’t be the first time.

Tuscaloosa? A better place to play football? Why? Have you actually been there? What would you actually do if you lived there? And yes my wife’s cousin and her mother live there.

This. Their staff isn’t that great anymore. They have also lost a step in strength and conditioning since their last guy hit the road and took an on-field role at UGA. They haven’t been as dominant on the lines since he left.

He will be playing at LSU immediately but he will sit on the bench at Alabama and then transfers like others.

Everyone needs to remember something. Ricks reclassified, so he’s going to be playing in the SEC when he should be a senior in HS. I’m not sure he would have gotten immediate PT here because of that, even as short handed as we are at CB. He sure as hell won’t at Bama year one unless they have a ton of injuries. He’s likely not going to be physically ready for it, especially with their mediocre current S&C program.

This doesn’t automatically mean he will transfer out after a season, but if they struggle again like this year (by their standards), I could see it happening.

Based on Championships, NFL opportunities, playing for the GOAT coach, and almost any other objective metric, it’s pretty easy to see why a player would pick Bama. I hate it, but it’s true.

If you can't see why high school kids aren't dieing to play for Saban at Bama, I don't know what to tell ya. They do very little other than win a shitload of games and develop NFL players.

High school kids don't give a shite about heart and soul, and the evil empire in Star Wars is pretty cool so that's just a bad analogy.

You’re right, you can only play for championships and make the NFL from Alabama.

That’s dumb. Even as bad as they were, they were close to undefeated. With a healthy BY, they beat UT and probably us.

Problem is that they're not recruit a middle aged white guy who likes fly fishing.

You guys are emotional right now but the reality is Bama has the greatest coach ever, wins more titles than anyone, has been in the playoffs more than anyone, produces more nfl players than anyone, produces more first rounders than anyone and their NIL collective is strong.

shite happens.

Look I hate Saban but name a college coach better than him. Bama has been ranked #1 at some point during the season since 2008. It’s not some conspiracy that a high school kid would go there. If I was an 18 year old 5 star athlete I would not even OV to LSU. I’d visit Miami, UT Austin, San Diego St, USCw, and Oregon. The first 4 for women and the last for free Nike shite. Then I’d commit to LSU.

You can’t put yourself or your fandom in these kids situations.

Yah they will never get a chance to play at bama. Bama got multiple 5 star players and countless 4 stars innthe portal this season and it cause thwy take so many that not everyone has a chance to show case thwir talent at bama. You would think kids would see that

They were just as close to having 4 losses this season. Think about that.

The strip in Tuscaloosa is better than the Baton Rouge college bar district. It is walkable. Very nice campus. I am from BTR. Love LSU. Lived in Atlanta 20 years. Georgia. Clearly better. Auburn. Might be better. Bama is good. From kids college town point of view. My kids were born here. They will never come back. I do agree that I don’t know why an out of state 5 star goes to Bama … other than Saban and his Natty’s

I agree

My son is there.

They have just as many fine ladies as LSU… my son comes home and says BR is so boring
His crew has been on 3 road trips already this semester as Fr. ATL, Nashville and Orange Beach
Our LSU night life is junk compared to UA and UGA (where one of my kids is getting a Masters)

LSU has got to spend, and improve and so does Baton Rouge!!

I don't get how an 18 yr old chooses Bama to sit the bench for years knowing it not fun playing in that environment. Some players are chosen not because they are better than any player there but just because Bama doesnt want to play for another team and has no intentions of playing them. Can't their parents see what's happening?

Surely you don't believe that malarkey. That Saban would waste limited scholarships, and roster space, for players he can't use, just to keep them from other teams? That's not an efficient way to utilize resources, and Saban is all about efficiency. Alabama needs to maintain quality depth, as do all teams. But scholarships, and roster space, are too precious to waste by hoarding players you don't intend to use. All college football players work hard, and it's basically a grind wherever you go. The fun is in the winning, and Alabama has been more successful at that for the last decade than anyone else.

Even in this day and age of NIL and the portal, Bama's recruiting strategy still seems dirty

Man these kids will be able to tell their grandkids they played for Nick Saban the goat. I think we blind ourselves to that factor and it’s a huge one.
