Are we moving towards more guys like guice, CEH and etienne that rely on their speed and quickness in our new offense? It seems like we are not going after the bigger backs like fournette, Hilliard, hill, ware, blue like we have in the past.

Guice is a big back.

He's smaller than all of the previous backs I mentioned that played under miles.

Because those guys aren't around in recruiting this year.

Df are you talking about. He's shorter. Guice is 5'11 220. And we already in the process of recruiting CEH And Etienne.

You do realize we were recruiting those guys long before Canada was even a prospect for OC, right?

If y'all can't see the shift in the type of RB we are recruiting then I can't help you. FTR, we just offered etienne today. Guice is a completely different style RB than all of the backs that were here in miles' ground and pound. He's much better suited for a spread.

Guice has been here for two years and the other two are just the type of backs Louisiana has this year. Hard to tell if there will be any change for the future.

We would gladly have taken Akers who is just like a typical LSU running back.

Not sure but LF7 is about the biggest back we've had. Trindon holiday, terrance Magee, Michael Ford, were all Smaller than Guice. None of those are "big backs". Keiland Williams & Stevan Ridley were the same size as Guice. I saw Joe Addai and Kevin Faulk standing next to LF7 at Spring game and LF7 looked more like the NFL veteran compared to those two.

Amik should become a priority now. Kid is dynamic with the ball in his hands. If im not mistaken, he's being recruited as an athlete. He'll fit in perfectly in the backfield

How long has canada been LSU's OC?

How long have we been recruiting CEH, akers and etienne?

LSU's #1 target at running back this recruiting class was Cam Akers, who is built like your prototypical LSU running back. Just because we didn't land him doesn't mean there's a complete shift in the types of running backs LSU offers.

But Canada has nothing to do with Guice being here.

He's been LSU's OC long enough to know we are looking for speed over size in the backfield. Not saying it's a bad thing, just different than what we've had.

Your statement makes no sense.
They were and would recruit Akers or any other back like Fournette.

I would personally like to see Canada branch off of LSU's already fierce power run game into some more spread looks. When the spread was first getting popular I hated it, but now I realize it's apart of the evolution of the sport.
