A: they never should have had any say so in NIL deals. If a company wants to pay an 18 year old for whatever reason, that should be between the kid, the company, and finally now, the government for taxes.

B: There is no logical reason to not allow transfer with immediate play. For starters, scholarships are offered on a year to year basis. If you want to “lock players in” for longer then the scholarships offered would have to be guaranteed for longer as well. Also, why should players be “locked in” to schools when coaches are not? If you want to require players “sit out” a year if they transfer, then why do you not demand the same for coaches when they leave for another coaching job (the same as players transferring)?
