I hope people stop being assholes. This reminds me of the reaction when Morris Claiborne got his offer.

little easier to judge a CB in a t shirt playing in space versus a DT in a t shirt and shorts though

im not backing the move, just saying its similar circumstances with 2 totally different reactions

i personally hate early commits. Like to see what they do their SR year

well in claiborne's case, there was actually talk of him beforehand. we knew it might be possible that he'd get his offer.

dex? the 2 sub sites had never ever heard of him before tonight.

well, I'm hearing the same kind of dumbass comments.

"Claiborne is listed as WR. Goodbye Randle."

"We're running out of offers!!!"

Let's think about this. Miles and the staff see exactly what we see in that they are running out of spots. This guy lives in the middle of nowhere and so nobody knows about him. He must be a complete stud to get offered now. I couldn't be happier. There is no way the staff would offer a guy like this with so few spots left if he wasn't a beast. LOGIC

this has to be the workings of big don yanowsky. he's got an eye for talent, and when he strikes out on jackson jeffcoat, he goes after the best possible option. and when that runs out, he reaches to selby, alabama.

both AU and Bama saw him at their camps and had no interest in a complete stud though?

Davenport played on a shitty team, yet he had plenty of recognition.

He did finish 6th in the shot put at the Greensboro Invitational:

6 Blackmon, Dexter Selma 36-11.50

Only lost by 8 feet.

his only offer is Troy, the article says he plays in rural Selma and they have a shitty team so he kind of goes unnoticed

Profile from Rivals

got an offer after our coaches saw him at an LSU camp

Selma is one of the poorest towns in the country, believe me on that.

Hopefully he's a bigtime sleeper like Bennie Logan was. Logan didn't have a Rivals profile at this time last year either.

As long as we mop up in the class of 2011 by signing the elite 8-10 players in state, I'm OK with these moves. Occasionally you have to sign players on potential or upside. I think we did that with Mingo last year.
