kincade could be the next russell wilson. I think he only measured in at 5'11 at the combine. RW had an outstanding career.

I think it was Shea saying someone told him that Johnson is at the top of their board

Also going off of what Johnson said he is hearing from the LSU staff.

(recent quote from his Scout article just for those wondering)

"The coaches are telling me that I am their top priority right now and they would love to land me," Johnson said. "That made me really satisfied with LSU. If they are telling me that I am the top guy on the board right now, then that makes me seriously think about LSU even more."

Barrett said something to that effect, also, but never Mitch or Kincaid or Sandberg.

I am happy that this year we really have a number of great qb prospects in the works. Two years ago we got two good ones. Randall and Rivers.

Last year we got on QB and I don't put him in the category of can't fail qb's. So this year in my book we need to have another year like randall and rivers at QB and need to avoid the Zach baseball fiascos at all cost. Some years you can afford to take that chance I don't think this year we should be taking that kind of chance so the Auburn lock can only be our second qb commit not our first.

Just me!

I really like Kincaide but he isn't quite the prospect those other kids are, yet. You have to factor in the talent he plays with in hs. If he continues to show well at events like this then he can definitely move up. The Elite 11 is not a good platform for determining who the better qb prospect is. Neither are 7 on 7 events. They're too easy. QB is a position where the games and film is the best indication. Barrett is a better prospect but you'll never be able to see his best attribute which are leadership and desire. He's one of those "coach on the field" guys.

Memphis got it right on me not being a fan of Johnson being at the top of the board. Don't get it and never will. Has nothing to do with his talent because he has a ton of it. It has to do with Auburn and his development.

My top 5
1. Barrett/Bateman - either or both would be perfectly fine with me. Safe, good prospects. Not a lot of bust in these 2.

3. Mitch- I actually prefer pro style kids though sometimes it doesn't seem that way. Dual threats are too hit or miss as passers for my taste. I love them on other teams and they scare me when we play against them but just don't prefer them on LSU

4.Johnson/Thomas- both are low for different reasons. Johnson because I'm skeptical of how he develops and his love for Auburn. For Thomas it's all about baseball. Not sure he ever sees a campus.

5. Sandberg-I actually ike this kid but something is missing for me. Just don't know what it is.

Kincaide is a perfect #2 qb for our class if we land a pro style 1st. Don't want 2 dual threats. Need balance.

Kincaide is the most desirable QB on LSU's board IMO. People need to stop with all this "dual threat" tag they are applying to him (which makes him sound like Pat White or something). He is a pure, drop-back, Pro-style QB. Has a "plus" arm, is very (and I mean VERY) accurate, and demonstrates he has superb touch when needed.

He just happens to have the additional ability to break a big play on the ground if he needs to scramble.
