He runs upright and likes the spin move... looks a lot like Lacy. And that ain't a bad thing!

Yeah, I agree with earlier poster. I don't know who he reminds me of, just runs different and features that jump move, and seems to accelerate downhill after contact. I think he's his own man out there.

Hill's 142 carries and 755 yards led a group of four LSU running backs with at least 70 carries and 365 yards in 2012. Four backs recorded at least 60 carries and 340 yards in 2011.

That sort of timeshare doesn't excite Guice, who extended more praise for Alabama's handling of recent backfields.

"At Alabama, they do a pretty good job of maintaining two or three backs but focusing on two or one, like they did last year with Trent Richardson and (Eddie) Lacy and how this year they did Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon," Guice said. "I just feel like it should be like that. All the rotating all the backs in and out, I don't really like that."

Im sure it was nice for him to see how we used Hill this year then. He was the guy. Magee came in late and finished off some games, but Hill had a 1000 yard season.

There's a special place in my heart for RB's that just refuse to go down.

Damn.

Coach Cameron def seems to lean towards a feature back with adjustments or substitutions based on the opponent's defensive scheme. That will likely be a nice selling point to show that the "by committee" rotation is less prevalent.

This thread has sort of gone full-tard with all the different comparisons but i'll add one more...

Watching that highlight, his style reminds me of Cadillac Williams. I'm basing this off his size, that violent pinball running style, and his ability to stick his foot in the ground and burst up field.

I second this comparison. Cadillac also refused to go down. Drove me nuts.

Yea I like the Cadillac comparison too. But Guice has a few more moves in his game than Cadillac.

And don't worry people. He's all LSU. Expect him to commit before his senior season starts.

Cadillac comparison is a good one

Mccoy and b sanders style is a good one

quote:

Project him to be similar to JHill

Having watched both play in high school multiple times, guice and hill run nothing alike. I don't know where this one comes from, unless you mean similar in terms of success in college.

Hill was a glider who was bigger and stronger then everyone and moving very fast. Guice is a low to the ground, shifty back with great balance.

I'm watching his tape again after 10 hours and man he is fast as frick!!! He plants his foot and explodes. An arsenal of running back moves as he's hurdles, spins, jukes, stiff arms, and jump cuts throughout this whole video. I'll have to look at Speedy again for comparision, but he looked as fast or faster than Speedy. I'm talking 4.40 or sub 4.4.

I read something before this season about 4.6 then saw his tape and thought he was way faster than that. Look at the tape just from the first song (where all his longer runs are), kid is freaking flying! As I've said before, his refusal to go down, elite and I mean elite speed, and swiss army knife arsenal of moves, how can this guy not be rated #1 at his position?

Fournette
Guice
Brossette
Williams

Who gone fricking stop us????
