According to Shea LSU is pushing for him. He's been considered a Penn State Ohio State battle for a while now but I guess LSU is making it interesting.

Safety build with body type to carry 210 pounds. Physical, tough and plays nasty. Has man-cover ability. Mentality to play in box and runs well enough to play free safety. Nickel ability. Capable blitzer. Instinctual player who tracks ball well. Good change of direction. Strong on jams and re-routes well. Shows good acceleration and closing speed. Strong tackler. Must continue to add upper body strength. Refining back pedal and adding hip flexibility important. Ability to play for elite program as true freshman. Second day NFL draft pick potential.

Crown strikes again! Imagine the #1 and #2 Safety in the same class. The add next years 2 Safety commits...pretty stout!

A lot of talk about him potentially moving to OLB. He's one of those players you take no matter what and see what happens with his body.

OSU has taken a few hybrid CB/S guys in this class and already has a S/LB hybrid potentially too. Think OSU is for sure still in hot pursuit of him, but the secondary class is already pretty crowded (I think OSU would make room for him no matter what)

If you asked me 2 months ago i would have said he was basically a lock to OSU. 3 weeks ago it looked like PSU was surging again. Last week I think OSU felt confident again.

I think the Franklin shine has kind of worn off. His teams are good/not great. LSU (much like OSU) should have a good shot at any secondary kid who is serious about being in the NFL and being developed in college. Not many schools do it better and why both claim DBU

So I guess I should ask, is it actually possible LSU grabs him? Or is it too late? Its never too late for any recruit in my opinion but there's usually a high level of interest from that recruit, I dont think you could start from scratch and get one in a day.

I did a little research and it looks like the last lettermen we had from Pennsylvania were Jim Hubicz and Jay Egloff.

They both lettered from 1986-1989. Hubicz played OT and Egloff played FB.

I was just about to say he looks more like a lb than safety....I don’t think his speed is great and as he adds more weight in college I think he will be put a lb

Think he is being talked about as a 215-220 lb player in college. Could enter at 205 and then maybe bulk up a bit.
