Maybe you should have added the "not in the immediate future: to this original statement.

Cam Fordham (C)
Corey White (C/OG)
Josh Williford (OG)
Trai Turner (OG)
Jonah Austin (OG)
Elliot Porter (OG)

Are all guys who wont be seniors in 2012 and can play the interior. Not including incoming guys who could also play the interior. We obviously have some young good prospects there.

I also think Collins could play guard next year since we lose both starting OG's and Collins will be looking for a spot on the OL and there's his chance.

Did you read what I wrote entirely? I didn't say he would ALWAYS play guard, just if he wants to get on the field in 2012 that's his only chance.

The main concern for me is center. I don't trust Fordham as the guy after Lonergan. Not knocking him at all, but right now he's listed on the roster at 261. That means a lot of his success is going to be determined by him transforming his body and putting on the weight necessary to play against SEC DTs. T-Bob was never really able to do that, so it makes me wary about CF.

We're stacked at tackle. So I'm guessing somebody is going to be sliding inside. Maybe Evan Washington. I think Vadal Alexander could definitely be a force at guard.

I don't see Davenport at guard. It looks right on paper, but I think he is more of a finesse player, at least right now.

Vadal is a Guard, and I think Evan Washington already is a Guard

He may be, I know he has worked at Guard & Tackle since he has been at LSU, but right now he's listed as an OT on the roster.

I thought Elliot Porter looked very good in the spring game.

Didn't we just get Guards Turner and Austin in the last recruiting class

Austin is 7 feet tall, i think White is probably a OG. Still, 2 guards and zero centers in 2 years or whatever is terrible considering 3 of those need to start at all times.

Herman Johnson was a pretty good guard for us and we experienced a noticeable drop-off regarding running the football he departed for the NFL.

Jonah Austin is only 6-5.

The equipment manager must have measured him with a ruler and messed up in the end when he said he was 6-7.

I will assume that Derek Edinburgh is not 6-8 like one of the recruiting sites had him as.

HS coaches like to bump up a plsyer by an inch or two and speed them up by 2 tenths of a second in the FYD.

What looks easier...beating out a 5th year senior at RT who would be going into his 3rd year in a row starting there, a 4th year junior at LT who would be going into his 2nd year in a row starting there with 2 years playing experience vs. two wide open OG spots with Blackwell/Dworaczyk leaving. Keep in mind in this case Collins would have no experience too being redshirted a year.

Edinburgh is a monster. 6'7.25" and 337 pounds this summer officially? Looks like he could be a guard going at this rate

Again, his height will not limit his ability to play guard, not sure in this day and age when players are taller and taller this would be a concern.
