decommitments and "concerns"

chill out, kids commit and decommit, its happened before and will happen again. sometimes they switch from us, and sometimes to us. this class is solid, and next year will top this one.

No...but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Do you have his senior stats? Can't seem to find any.

No, just junior stats. Apparently he caught 4 passes for 30 yards and a touchdown in a random game, and in another game he had 3 of his team's 4 touchdowns. That's all I could find.

Were you impressed with his junior stats considering his size, speed and jumping ability. That's why I'm curious to see if he had a breakout senior season stat-wise.

It's tough to say, but unless he played in an Evangel/Texas Tech type of passing game (which I doubt) those are pretty impressive stats. Something like 35-40 receptions, 600 yards, and 10 TDs or something like that in the regular season and it looks like he caught some passes in the playoffs because other sites list with 48 receptions and 13 TDs.
It should be comparable to most of the top receivers in high school.

I know that he was putting up some impressive numbers, don't have anything specific. His team also had to forfeit most or all of its games because they supposedly used an ineligible player. They would have had an outstanding season without the forfeits.

I am never concerned about out of state decommits, in state is another story. I had no doubt that if Texas pursued him that he was theirs.

I do remember reading that an obscene amount of the passes thrown his way went for TDs. Let me see if I can pull it up..

At least in his junior year he scored a TD 38% of the time he caught a pass
