Caden Sterns is a highlight on 3rd and 17! He’s so Big 12.

Gotcha. Yeah I agree I like rice more than Moses as well. He’s always around the ball.

We will see about sterns... too many longhorns have strong showings as freshman just to lack development over a career and fizz out. Brandon Jones and Malik Jefferson are two great examples. This will be a huge year for the young man

I believe Darron Thomas was committed to us almost to signing day. He had several very productive years at Oregon.

Duke Williams had a pretty good career at Auburn and Felipe wasn’t hot shite at UF but still, assuming he wins the job at Arkansas, will have started for two SEC schools

Duke had one okay season at AU. His career stats would have made him our fifth leading receiver last year.

O processed Burns out.

I don't think that is what happened. I think he was told to hang around until signing day but Burns didn't like it and committed to Georgia.

Unless Burns moves to safety I don't think he will have that good of a career at CB. I've mentioned on here I saw him play in person and he didn't look like a 4* cornerback to me.

Auburn isn’t exactly known for throwing it around the yard. Duke would definitely have played for us had he been at LSU during his time in the SEC, so I’d say he qualifies for this question. He’s also on the bills.

Both will be crazy good, trust me. However I think it was actually better that we didn't get them because this 2020 class is loaded with WRs and as long as we get Hilton and one more, we'll be set.

Moses, Ausbon, and Sterns are likely first round picks assuming all stay healthy. Moses and Sterns are almost a lock. Think Adam Anderson can have a good season and slide in there as well. If only we'ed have Kelvin Joseph last year, he could have gotten a ring, but weed got him, pun intended!

I think the point of the thread is people who HAVE panned out that played recruiting games. The jury is out on these guys.

Here's my list:

Jury Still Out:
Class of 2020 decomms like Jarrett, Burton and Burns.
Most of the class of 2019

Wish They Stuck:
Kenyon Green, Aggie (he wishes he stuck too)
Caden Sterns, UT
Dylan Moses, Bama

OK Players:
Adam Anderson, UGA
ArDarius Washington, TCU
Jhamon Ausbon, Aggie
Monty Rice, UGA
Flippy Franks, UF now Hog

Flame Outs:
Kelvin Joseph, KY
Nadab Joseph, No Idea
Stephen Guidry, CC - recently signed by Miss St so we'll see
Jamarcus Chatman, Florida St
Zadock Dinkelman, some DII school
Erick Fowler, Texas

I would be curious to see if there is any correlation to decommits and success (or lack there of). There are, of course, multiple reasons why someone decommits. But a lot of it stems from a lack of maturity and being able to handle the attention.

What about Marcus Banks? I liked the kid’s spirit when he committed. I know he hasn’t done anything yet, but anyone know his prospects at bama?

I'm not sure about this. You really expect 16 and 17 year olds to display amazing maturity? These coaches are really good salesmen and sometimes kids get caught up in a moment. Also, some of this is just the nature of recruiting ("playing the game").

Stingley decommitted. Chase decommitted from two different schools. Phillips flipped from Oklahoma. Roy decommitted. Brennan "reopened his recruitment". None of these guys seem immature to me. And even though he hasn't played much, Emery decommitted from Georgia and he seems to have his head on straight.

dylan Moses committed in.jr high to miles

after miles was run off, moses chose bama.

moses will make millions in nfl.

but his situation was so unique it hardly counts.

if i commit as 8th or 9th grader to coach x and x is booted, i decommit and look further afield.
