Watching Montgomery play makes me think he was born to play in Chavis' system. He is the perfect defensive end for it.

I watched a 2 minute clip on Rivals.
From that he didn't look like he was crazy explosive or fast. Decent in both, but not elite.

The Youtube video has him at WR several times, looks like he has above average athleticism and good hips as well.
ETA - and agreed on the IQ, right place right time, even though it is a highlight film. so thats kind of a given.

The guy is very athletic and has very good balance. He changes direction very quick. He also, as stated, seems to have a high football IQ. He plays screen passes very well and that is hard for some kids at that level.

He looks athletic enough to play DE, OLB, or TE. The staff knows what they are looking for and if they are satisfied, so am I.
