Why does everyone just assume that this is a bad thing? We have to lose some people to get below the 85 scholarship limit. Perhaps Cotton was graded out below everyone else and took the hint. Or maybe even the staff may have told him that he should look elsewhere.
Obviously, no one knows for sure.

Not necessarily. With the new precedent the NCAA set, if a fellow student was mean to him one time back in September, he can get a waiver.

Yes we have to get to 85... but we’re losing someone where we are the thinnest, especially next year

My post is a complete overreaction of what? What am I overreacting about? My point about controlling his life is that no matter how we feel, it's his decision to make. The only ppl overreacting are the ones making a big deal about losing him and not realizing that we have depth (Livingston, Travez, Jenkins, Cherry, Dantriez, Fonua, and Little). And again.. if you don't believe ppl are doing that just go to the comments of the article with the same name. My point stands

There’s obviously something else to this story that nobody except Davin, his family and the coaches know about. As thin as we are on d-line and the potential he has I don’t see O telling any member of the d-line that they are on the outside of the 85 player limit. I hope he stays because he was solid in high school. Maybe the injury his senior year didn’t heal all the way.

Man, people really have the dumbest fricking takes about the Fields transfer.

Having 11 or 12 defensive lineman isn’t thin

What's dumb about it?
He got called a racist name. That's terrible. But after that happened:
1. Georgia expelled the offender
2. The Fields allowed their daughter to enroll at the same university.
The notion that the incident made it untenable for him to stay at UGA is the dumbest fricking thing we have heard all season. He got beat out and wanted to go to another big time school without an incumbent QB. And the NCAA let him do it.
The sit out a year rule is wildly unpopular as well and they are granting waivers left and right.

You talk about other people not knowing shite and spew out a bunch of “maybe this” and “maybe that” like it’s something no one else has thought about.
News Flash:
1) you don’t know shite either.
2) of course it could be anything
3) you aren’t as important as you think you are

This could be more about defensive scheme fit. Cotton always seemed to be out of place in our 3-4 with his size. He’s built more in that Aaron Donald mold that I think he would play best as a 3 tech DT in 4-3 defense.

I feel like I struck a nerve there lol. It's adorable when ppl get in their feelings over a post. Do it again I'm enjoying it. And you're right.. I don't know but wanna know the difference? I don't pretend like I do lol

That most people (including you in your original statement) fail to acknowledge:
quote:
1. Georgia expelled the offender
Which means it was a verified incident that was dealt with immediately. Saying that people can just make something up, or that some incident from months ago just pops up out of nowhere would get a waiver is dumb. The baseball player was kicked off the team by the end of the weekend and out of the school shortly thereafter. I doubt UGAs baseball coach (who is on the hot seat as it is) was keen to boot his best returning hitter.

I don't disagree with this. At all.

And they were always going to. They aren't getting on the opposite side of the pitchfork mafia.

It was actually. Ppl have their own opinions and if you would've been a bit more patient, you would've seen that someone did give me their take on it, and I agreed

Coming from the guy who said, and I quote, “ya’ll hate knowing the truth” without any sort of facts and assuming people’s preconceived notions before anybody said anything about what you said in your first post. You are the epitome of an insecure poster bud. I am merely here stating your insecurity.

Lmao. I wish I knew how to pull up the emojis on here buuut I was referring to what I was saying and being logical towards the situation.. not that I knew what was going on with him. I mean... you're calling me insecure but look who's taking it serious and look who isn't lol. I'm actually laughing my arse off at the fact you feel some type of way about a post made by someone who "isn't that important". Lol but I'm the insecure one here
