If O can land 3 more stud Dlinemen than we maybe talking top 3 class. I think next years season will be special if a couple of the dlineman come back. So a top 3 class in 2020 could really make LSU good for years to come.

It's got a great start, but yes, defensive linemen will be a TOP priority. Depending on if we land 1-3 defensive linemen this class for 2020 we would likely need 3-5.

It seems like we should be able to meet our needs next year. We already have Roy committed. We have a good shot at Cam'ron Jackson and Guillory. We might have a punchers chance at McKinley Jackson.

Of course, last year, we thought we'd be able to get some of the Mississippi/Texas kids from this class, too.

Thankfully, LA is loaded with top notch DTs for the c/o 2020. There are a bunch of high quality WRs as well, and we've already secured the best one of the bunch in Boutte.

Agree completely, Roy, C. Jackson, and Guillory are crucial pieces at this point.

Neither qb comes across as somebody who will fight your arse. We need qbs with swag. Burrow will fight you. Previous qb recruits come across scared. I want to be wrong, but man we need grit at that position. Not just the tall kids who throw it far.

What exactly are you basing this on?

Yes 2020 is shaping up to be a monster class for LSU. next year LSU should be right in the chase for a playoff run again. Great times my friend

Right. Last year everyone was up in arms about our running back class and "next year" was the year for us to load up. Well, lookee here! We have 2 of the top 5 or 6 guys in the country coming.

2 years ago we didn't have enough top WRs and last year we signed 2-4* and 2-5* WRs.

Yes that’s all we should look for in search of a QB. A hot head who wants to fight everyone. What the actual does a guy wanting to go out and fight everyone have anything to do with the success rate of a QB? Joe has moxie of course, this doesn’t mean Johnson or Finley aren’t the same way.

My personal favorite, Andrew Luck. Congratulates defenders when they sack him.

It’d be nice to have, I guess. But it’s far from necessary.

Isn't the signing class of 2020 (which this thread is about) NEXT YEAR?

College football is about the past (great players, memorable games, recruiting stories, etc) the present (bowl games, returning players, new players, etc) and the future (commits, schedules, rankings, etc).

This board is geared exclusively towards the future of LSU sports since it is the RECRUITING BOARD. If you don't like people talking about the future of LSU, then you are definitely in the WRONG PLACE. BYE !!!

You understand that recruiting happens every year right?

I think we need a couple guys to stay for one more year that would go high in the draft for things to really take off. Its obvious who I'm talking about and they would have to turn down alot of money but for next year to be special we need one year of better player retention(not sure if thats an actual word) Saban had a bunch of guys stay early on. They jump started that thing by guys staying. They dont need guys to stay at this point but imagine what one year of keeping at least two out of three of D white, greedy, and Lawrence. Not sure theres any better recruiting tool than not losing the heart of our team for one more year. Fantasy. I know.

The state will have to improve quite a bit in the rankings for us to get top 3. We aren't gonna make a living pulling in groups of highly ranked oos kids. Oos kids supplement the state when we have classes like that.
I do think it's possible but we're gonna have to work really hard and play well on the field.
QB seems taken care of
RB comes down to Evans at this point. Tall task. Take Clayton then go all in on Evans with a backup plan there
WR seems set with 3 commits and a state full of them. Biggest question is which 3-4 guys we really want and bring in. Not sure either OOS kid sticks and the state is loaded with a bunch of the same types.
TE should be the instate kid Dyson
OL is a huge need. Not sure how the state stacks up but it appears we are gonna have to shoot for the moon OOS and hope for the best.
DL is set with the big guys instate. We need at couple them with a couple of kids OOS. Need athletic DE types.
LB is another big need. Couple instate maybe and a pass rushing kid is a must, maybe 2.
CB should be fine. A corner or 2 instate with enough playing room to go all in on a couple of OOS kids.
S has at least 1 instate. Likely gonna need 2-3.
Top 3 is gonna be hard but we can still land a very strong class. No matter what anyone thinks we aren't at the level to thrive on OOS kids to land an elite class. Anyone expecting Bama type classes is kidding themselves. That's ok though. Get talent in and develop them. That's the difference not pure talent. We can match the 2 deep in talent at many positions. Just so happens those are the most important, the lines.

So you want another Burrow? No thanks. We need a passer. Both of these kids are big strong arm passers. They're legit. If we can hang on to both, it will be huge
