Exactly this talking point is so old and makes no sense really. If it's not going to happen this year then LSU needs to start planning for its future and next year is the closest year to this one so its next year.
To be honest I think our actual playoff winning year will be when LSU can put out a junior class of OLman, DLman, QB, LBers and Secondary all with Elite players and then a few seniors who weren't as highly rated or were and hasn't developed as fast then have highly rated Sophomore and Freshman littering the roster also. We don't have that at this time. Probably won't have that until like 2021 or so. By that time the program should be set up to maintain championship success and build upon it. We should have won a championship by then or at least a couple of playoff wins and final appearances.

Really excited for 19 and 20 classes. 20 seems to be starting great! Nothing but studs! We'll get us a few 5*, hopefully about 4-5 (of all of em lol) and stack the rest with 4*. Find those 1-2 3* in state guys. But let's go national. Hell most of those guys aren't from LA. We gonna be good once we get 2020 top LA talent then go national!
