Personal opinion, Danny Lewis is only being recruited by Bama is to get the safety Westgate has in the 23 class. Saban knows it's going to be a battle for Derek Williams with Florida because it's Corey Raymond's Alma Mater and LSU being the state school.

Uhh, he’s done it before. Everyone knew Ish was going to be a bust when he gained 30 lbs of fat in one offseason. Both he and Orgeron still went all out on him because it was a huge perception battle landing a highly rated DL from La with a DL coach running LSU.

You know you're just creating a narrative right? Ish could have gone anywhere he wanted because he still had immense raw talent however lazy he was. He still was able to transfer to USC after doing nothing Bama because he's talented. This is silly.

I'll post less when you can point out where I said Danny Lewis wasn't legit. But if you think that Danny Lewis is only being recruited because Saban's need for a TE and not because his teammate is a top 3 safety in the country then you're in denial.

True, roster spots are valuable but we are talking about Bama. Bama has never had an issue with roster management. Every year this board questions how Bama is able to consistently sign over the limit. Saban literally "grey shirt" kids, so to act like it's out of the realm of possiblity that Saban sees getting Lewis as a benefit to recruiting Williams is crazy.

Clean do you think Louisiana tends to be just under/poorly evauated from a recruiting stand point in general? I've seen you hit on several of these "under the radar" guys. I think covid has even furthered that gap from a exposure standpoint but looking at all the transfer portal Louisiana guys wanting to come home and alot of these late offers for several recruits from big time schools that seems to be a very common, recurring theme.

I really want DL in this class, I think he has a ton of upside;
that being said, I want him just as much because this is the first real head to head with CBK and Saban both offering a LA kid, and really we've just lost too many of these the last 10 or so years

Agreed, just wish we would have made him a priority when we had a walk on TE starting, our starter transfer from the program this summer, and a slot wr we have to call a TE so we can say we have one. I know its a new staff but there's people here saying he was a take last year and to keep a eye on him. I honestly don't think the former staff watched a tape outside of what 24/7 has listed as the top 250...
