Maybe, but I think he initiated this late interest, not LSU, so I guess we'll see...

a Miami kid taking a free trip to Baton Rouge, really? I think it's more of the fact that he sees that we have no running back commits, and only guy we are pressing for is Fournette.

With Magee, Fournette, and Cook, I can see him averaging 10 carries a game. 130 carries for a true freshmen (13 games) is huge. Remember these guys ask about the RB situation and how many players are coming back.

A kid that usually is going to end up at LSU is taking a trip to another school, "it's just a free trip."

Another recruit takes a visit to LSU and "ZOMG THERE"S LEGIT INTEREST!!"

I don't buy this Cook nonsense for a second.

If we did get a commit from the second best RB in the nation... how does that effect our relationship with LF? Does it oppose the fact that we have self mutilated our depth and RB for the guy?

You are 'spot on'. We end up with three trainers, four 'water boys', one long snapper, and three (2*) special team players with distinct limps.

This is the difference maker here

That back field with Terrance Magee, LF, Cook, and Willilams to spearhead things. Safeties play in, then bomb it to Trey and Speedy up top with Chi slicin

Holy shite, what a nightmare for D coordinators

All with Cam Cameron at the helm

And with all these DB prospects, holy shite. This team will be an absolute beast

Cook was just discussed on CSS's "In The Huddle". Said he was the best RB in the country, not Fornette. Starter since the 8th grade. Will play Saturday for the Florida State Championship. Committed to Florida with Fla.State and Miami still after him too. He might just want out of state, away from the 3 Florida schools. We don't know, but he did call us, so, give it our best next weekend.

It's a long shot, but sometimes long shots come in. Worth a buying a ticket for this one.

I never say this. I always think it's general interest unless it's somewhere with a beach and half naked females.

I think along this line that there is interest just as it's interest when our guys take looks around.

The cupboard is bare. We run 40-45 times a game, we run 4 backs and up to five. It's ok if you've been hurt by recruits decisions, but I know that kids change their minds as often as they change clothes.

Cook is denying all of it as expected. He will stay in FL. Keep hope alive if you choose but its not happening

Unless you have an in to the kid like him being from your state originally, knowing people on the team, or are the first to offer, you arent going to pull anybody from Florida that the big 3 wants. Too many shenanigans go on in recruiting in that state.

Every once in a while you have a guy like Peterson, but hes an exception

I guarantee Cook flips from UF, it's been pointing that way for a long time. LSU may have shown up too late to the party as I think it seems likely he'll end up at FSU, but the interest is real I think.

You never know- Cook could be our 'Sam Montgomery' late pick up in this class. Would be epic if he did come to LSU, but I agree, Fl. St. looks a more likely destination right now...

Well if he does, he will be limited in carries.

At FSU in 2013 his guys while be,

-- Sophomore 2013 #2 ABP Ryan Green
-- Redshirt Sophomore (medical rs, next year academically ineligible) 2012 #4 RB Mario Pender
-- Senior 2011 #1 ATH James Wilder Jr.
-- Senior 2011 #1 S Karlos Williams, some reason they made him a RB, but he's been a beast this year.
-- Senior 2011 #7 RB Devonte Freeman

JW jr told a recruit that it might be good to go to FSU because he and Freeman where thinking about going pro.

That'll still leave you with two sophomores and a senior so maybe Cook will wise up, sees how LSU looks, and come get 10-12 caries from jump. UF is going the wrong way and 4 out of 5 of their returning D1 RBs are all freshman and sophomores.

He sees the opportunity, and it intrigues him
