so people around ESJ don't like Les Miles because Ricky Dixon sucked and Ryan Perilloux was a frick up?
As it turned out, we probably never should have recruited Dixon to begin with, & yes, Perilloux has only himself to blame for his situation- Was Miles suppose to let RP keep pushing the limits as to what he could get away with?? Sounds like the "people around ESJ" are unclear on a lot of things...

Is Dauterive still the coach? If so, is he turning kids away from LSU?

only when it's beneficial to him personally, back when LSU wasn't as good he was sending his players from Opelousas High to Notre Dame and Florida St. There was one receiver that he sent to LSU around 97 from OHS, but he didn't pan out and finished at Southern. Really, the only kids that I can think of that he's coached that actually panned out was Benny Guilbeau (opelousas) at Notre Dame and Kirston Pittman (ESJ).

Robert Hammond got kicked off of Florida St. I don't give him credit for Devery because he only coached Devery for one year I think. And so far one of his kids from ESJ has really done anything.

Not quoting you on purpose Lester...just figured I'd reply to your post...

blah blah blah is all i have to say. Williams went to a private school before returning to public school & this was his FIRST time ever playing football...period. He is a junior. He's a beast on the field & hopefully he can stay on the straight path & get himself a Div I scholarship to play football. Whether that will be at LSU or not, I have no clue. I know of a few schools off the top of my head that would be a perfect fit for Mr. Williams. Guess we shall see how it all plays out.

Williams will have to go to JUCO--no doubt about it.

Has anyone ever seen film on the guy?

Of course... I have film on him... and why is there no doubt about it? I'm just asking...not being snarky. Why do you say that there is no doubt he will have to go JUCO?

His grades. He is a grade or two behind in school but at a junior level in football. He will literally run out of time to earn his degree. He will have to get his GED and then go on to JUCO or maybe potentially look into prep school options.

Miles gave RP more chances than he should have. Dixon was not D1 WR talent, so I don't get why ESJ is turned off by Miles. By the way LaPlace is Big Time LSU country.

When Dauterive was at Opelousas and had some talent those kids didn't want to go to LSU because it was during Hallman's regime. Who could blame them for wanting to go some place else with a better chance of getting coached and winning. They didn't any influence from Dauterive on that.

He is classified as a sophomore but there may be a chance that he graduates on time.

Won't have enough credits to graduate. Coach has said he's JUCO all the way.

Get him a message LSU is the place to play ..
By reading this thread this kids potential seems worth the risk.
Unless some of this posted is just bs.

Can't understand why any HS would shy away from their state university.
It can only help them in the long run.
Unless theres bad blood somewhere.
