Jordy and T-Bob in Baton Rouge this morning

The radio hosts and Wade (more so the hosts than Wade) were hinting there may be a big commitment next week. Take that for what it's worth
I would take what Jordy says with a grain of salt. He is forever hyping and predicting stuff, then being wrong.
His optimism is coming from reading the same stuff we all are on here and 24/7. Not saying we shouldn't be excited as these are strongly trending in LSU's direction; but Jordy doesn't know anymore than anyone else.
I was excited by a lot of the stuff Wade was saying on the changes to the program and defensive philosophy; but that is for another thread.

Wrong.

He called the Josh Gray commitment when Wade was on previous to Gray's announcement

True. But in response to Jordy's question about "should the fans be excited about upcoming recruiting news" (or something to that effect) Wade responded: "let's hope they have a little bit (of excitement) left in the tank for next week"
Obviously things could change in a second, but it seems like not just Jordy, but Wade also believes they are going to hear some really good recruiting news next week.

I couldn’t disagree more.

Yeah you don’t know shite, Jordy has more info about hoops than the general public.

Jordy and wade are real close . I think Jordy’s sources are the source . He knows his stuff

Why can’t they at least do 3 years out of HS like football? This one and done stuff is crap.

Be lucky college gets the stars for at least 1 year. Hasn't always been that way and likely won't be that way too much longer.

I think its much more likely that Ezewiro redshirts as opposed to Gray. Ezewiro is young and needs to get in better shape. He didn't play much this past season. His conditioning must improve. If Gray does come i think he will backup Cisse. If we land Cisse and Gray decides to bolt i still think Ezewiro redshirts and Cooper stays on as Cisse's backup.

Theres no scenario I see Gray not being a part of the class. Cooper isnt coming back, if Watford stayed in draft I see Hyatt being able to keep his spot.

The last day for withdrawal is June 15, right?

I wasn't trying to say that Gray would be more of a RS candidate than Ezewiro. Unless something weird happens, I don't see how Ezewiro is not red shirted. There will not be any minutes for him except for possibly the last 2-3 of a blowout, which really doesn't do him any good. He is a 4 year player regardless; so its not like you'd be setting him back by red shirtting.
As for Gray, I'm not saying that I think he is likely to red shirt. I think there is definitely a role for him on the team. But I don't see him really getting anymore than about 5-7 minutes a game in order to give Cisse rest or relief in foul trouble situations. But he doesn't have to be used, or always used, as there are definitely some other lineups Wade could go with for just a few minutes each half and still be good defensively even with Cisse on the bench.

Not anymore. B/c of all the covid stuff and NBA pushing the draft back, the evaluation process hasn't officially began; so the date for withdrawal is expected to inevitably be pushed back as well. No one knows what the date will be until the NBA gets their act together and makes a decision.

Definitely agree. Even before Gray committed, Wade said he wanted 2 more big men; so it appears he would want Gray in this class. But it definitely is odd that he has not signed yet; so it looks like we may have to wait till the end of June when the players report to campus to see if he is there or not.
Seems like the only way Hyatt stays is if Watford doesn't return or something weird happens with Gray.

Gray will be on the team, a lot of the guys who committed around the same time as gray aren’t showing that they’ve signed on 247 so don’t worry, and basically the roster boils down to
Javonte: returning
Days: returning
Which leaves 4 guys and 2 spots
Cooper, hyatt, Watford, Cisse
If we get Cisse then Cooper loses his spot
If Watford comes back Hyatt loses his spot
So cooper is the backup option for Cisse and Hyatt the backup for Watford
Personally I think we get Cisse for sure and I’d put Watford at 55/45 in favor of returning.
