Coxie a 3 star sleeper

Saw LSU 3star WR commit DaMonte Coxie against Hahnville last night. He has great size at 6'3" and showed good quickness and elusiveness in the open field after the catch. Made a highlight reel catch in the end zone as he absolutely layed out for an overthrown ball, getting his hands under the ball to secure the TD. He could be a diamond in the rough in this class.

And remember the name Pooka Williams of Hahnville. He rushed for 128 yards and 2 TD's, one on a 50 yard punt return. This sophomore is blazing quick, maybe the fastest kid ive ever seen. Simply runs away from everyone ala a younger Chris Johnson.

How can you forget a name like Pooka?

Kids arms make him 6'7. Dudes arms might hang down to his knees. Kid might be able to tie his shoes standing up

Coxie has blown away top 4 and 5 star DB'S on the camp circuit. Frank Wilson said he has some of the best hands and catch radius he's ever seen.
The only reason he's not a 5 star is he doesn't have elite speed that recruitniks fawn over nowadays.
He's going to be excellent for us.
There's a reason this 3* got a commitable offer with so many spots left. Coaches love him!

I agree this kid will be a monster receiver especially a posession type

I don't know if any LSU commit can be considered a sleeper anymore. And that's a good thing.

Coxie is legit. Anthony Williams is fast as hell.

could you just say offer? no such thing as a noncommitable offer. If a coach offers a scholarship, that is an offer. If a coach says we are very interested in you but does not offer a scholarship, that is not an offer or a non committable offer.
Now some offers may be open ended and others may not be. If a coach makes an offer but the player doesn't take it at the time, but decides a few months later that he wants to take it, the offer may not still be on the table.
If by non committable offer are you saying an offer was made but not accepted but is no longer on the table? Then you could say LSU offered but is no longer offering at this time.

Coxie is no sleeper anymore, man. That's why he was offered. Dude is an elite talent and people saw it at camp as he dominated some top 4, 5 star DB's. Great height and will be over 200 pounds solid once he builds up in weight room, and his 40 time will improve as he gets stronger. So another great receiver comin to LSU that I hope sees the ball thrown to him with some regularity.

A 3 star with only 5 offers (LSU, Tulane, S. Miss, Southeastern, and McNeese) can definitely be considered a "sleeper", man.
I do however foresee his offer list becoming quiet impressive as his talent is evident. I agree he will get stronger and bigger.

This is 100%, unequivocally false

You missin the point, maan. I said LSU offered him. He isn't a sleeper anymore. If LSU offered him other top schools now know this kid is the real deal.

He is still a sleeper. His only big offer is LSU, no other big program recognizes his talent so therefore he is a sleeper

This isn't my term. This is a term used by recruiting analyst. Take it up with them
If you don't understand the term, Bleacher Report has a nice article on this exact thing. You not agreeing with the term doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Thank you Tigerfan_95, not everyone here understands what the term sleeper means. Sleeper is defined as a recruit who is underrated, overlooked, and those who are "under the radar. "
I believe Coxie's 5 offers, with only LSU from the SEC, proves he is still "under the radar."
And as a 3 star, those of us who have seen him play, know he is currently underrated.
The thing about sleepers though, they sometimes wake up, especially when a school like LSU offers....and if Bama offers, he'll pick up at least a 4th star.

It's seems like a lot of recruiting sites starting holding the play of some of our past bad performers against he new classes, yet we send tons to the league.
I think we've earned the respect and benefit of the doubt back. People have to notice when our staff thinks a kid is worth the offer.

Please explain wtf you're talking about, if you don't mind. I'm almost 100% certain that past "bad performers" will not EVER effect a teams current recruiting class....ever.
Never ever.
Also, list which sites you seem to believe are doing this....please.

it's just a term that should be put to rest. It's just very misleading. A better term would be a contingent offer or that a team is still evaluating a player. Contingent on seeing more of the player or what happens with other players ranked higher.
Also seems to get used when an offer was on the table but no longer is. Could say a player HAD a offer, but didn't take it, and now the school has moved on to other players, and may or may not reopen his recruitment.

Committable offer means team will accept commitment on the spot.
Non committable means the offer is there as long as the kid holds up his end of the bargain: character, grades, and attend camps (at least with Les Miles).
But hey, if you can get everyone else involved with recruiting to not use these terms, I'll stop too
