I bet he goes back home to Miami.

There were better cornerbacks in the portal prior.

He allowed 18 of 25 for 325 yards

It's not really like we can just go on a spree like two years ago. We don't have the room so they have to be deliberate about who and what is added. For everyone we add, we need to process someone, and we'd still be three over.

Those sound like bad stats for only the last 3 games. Too many yards (over 100 per game just attributed to him) and the fact that the receivers caught 72% of the passes thrown their way against him. And who knows how many of those other 7 were drops.

True freshman on a horrible defense with bad coaches. Let's not be too harsh in judgement.

I would take him, but I'm sure he's going back to the state of Florida somewhere.

I remember when he made a big deal about going to Colorado to be coached by the best defensive back ever. Guess he changed his mind about that.

Valid point but one thing you didn't mention and neither did I initially. Travis Hunter most likely was assigned as the CB to take the stud WRer. So McClain was up against WRer #2 would be my solid guess.

I rather we go after experienced college CB if we add any at that position. He might have been 2nd string this year at CU didn't like to work.

Travis Hunter struggled as well, probably from being tired from playing offense.

He got torched at historic levels against Stanford.

Hunter also missed games, not sure if played opposite McClain.

He had maturity problems at CU and was unwilling to put in the work to get playing time. I have a feeling he's going to be a problem wherever he lands.

Heard that as well. He was constantly late for team meetings.

Yeap heard that along with missing class and didn't like to watch film.

Since he was a 5 star i guess they kept giving him and chance but at some point player gotta help themselves.

Wish the LSU CBs would "struggle" like this.

"Travis Hunter is already known as the most versatile player in college football after winning the 2023 Paul Hornung Award.

Now, the Colorado two-way star is ranked as the No. 1 player in college football for the 2024 season by CBS Sports.

"(Hunter) is a generational player and, if he took fewer snaps offensively at wide receiver, would be even more effective for Colorado's defense," CBS Sports' college football analyst Blake Brockermeyer said

Could easily be the other way around. Kid wants a real coach and not a diva at hc

I never said he wasn’t good. He’s great. But due to overuse and injuries, he struggled at times.

Against Stanford:

quote:

Defensively? The nation’s former No. 1 recruit has had, um, better nights. After a suffocating start, all those snaps — ESPN tracked him with 104 with 11:18 to go in regulation — started to take their toll on coverage and tackling. Especially where Elic Ayomanor was concerned. The 6-foot-2 Canadian wideout finished the fourth quarter with 12 catches for 264 yards and a pair of scores, all collegiate highs. He beat Hunter by a few steps on an incompletion at the start of the game, a harbinger of some uncomfortable moments that were to come.

Stanford went at him all night and he was continually torched, including the game winner.
