Wood must have gotten some bad advice or know something most people don't. I don't see him ever getting past Gilbert on the depth chart. Kid must REALLY love Texas.

Except on the field where he lucked into one BCS Championship on Vince's feet. Nobody has the assets and the advantage of Texas in recuriting - not SC, Florida......

I am impressed that Texas pretty much wraps up their recruiting early. What would it take for us to get to that point? Oh, did anyone say that Bryce was coming for a visit?

That is a great screenshot. I had some threads I wanted to start about Meat Market along with some recruiting stats I came up with, but I wanted to wait until after the NSD hysteria was over. Then, I waited for the RR-Benton hysteria to cool down. It looks like I might have to wait until March 16th or whenever Bryce finally feels like announcing.

University of Texas is bound to have its talent...

let's not fixate on austin and norman being the first option of the overwhelming number of texas ball players...

we'll cherry-pick the a few 4- and 5-star

It is still amazing how Texas gets so many early recruits, & we're not talking canned beef either, but some serious recruits. However, the good for everyone else is the simple fact there is too much talent in the state of Texas for UT to get near all the top talent. A lot left over by November...

The only thing I can think of as to why Wood would go to UT is he'll redshirt which will put him 2 years behind GG (provided he doesn't redshirt). So that leaves Wood starting his Jr and Sr year.

He does it because he's a lazy recruiter...gettin' it done by giving ultimatums to 90% of the kids they offer, or they'll move on to other TX kids who will jump on an offer. He loses out on a lot of great kids because he doesn't put in the effort...but you can get away with it in TX.

Does LSU really need another qb on the roster?

Yes.

Lee will transfer, Garrett isn't an SEC caliber QB and Shep is a WR.
