That’s very rare. I changed school choices over a girl and ended up pretty miserable about it. I couldn’t really tell her that, but it was the truth. It was a stupid decision driven by emotions. Then I got a last second opportunity to go to LSU on a full scholarship and took it. We lasted for a while long distance, but it fizzled.

Looking back, it’s a good thing I didn’t make her a priority in that choice, because it wouldn’t have worked. We became very different people who had very little in common. Then I met my future wife at LSU and we are still married 23 years later.

My scenario is more likely than the one you propose.
