He didn't say anything about it on Tiger Talk.

Just wild to me how Van Pran wouldn’t want to be here. This is the best place in terms of winning and lack of depth at center. Some just can’t wait to leave home.
Doesn’t speedy noils uncle coach at that school? I think that school is extemely butt hurt that Tyron Johnson transferred and LSU hasn’t recruited the last two DBs to come out of there. Wonder how LSUs standing is at that school with the coaching staff

At this point those coaches can STTDB.
Their kids are totally replaceable with OOS talent with this LSU coaching staff.
The days of NOLA coaches or diva LA recruits playing the game are over. Get on board, or get run over
I fricking love it!

That's fair but it does lead to a player like Van Pran running for the green pastures of Kirby "Les Miles Part II" Smart.
This is lose/lose. We lose an elite interior lineman and Van Pran never wins a championship in college.

Maybe we lost him for that reason, but how many kids do we hold onto because of the new strategy?
Or how many of the kids who picked Bama on signing day end up being replaced early on and LSU is stronger as a result?
The early signing period has changed things. The diva kids from Louisiana and Florida who always wanted to announce on signing day lose options by going that route. The kid who committed yesterday was suppose to announce at the AA Game. I suspect he was worried that spot might not still be there if her waited

Lawrence says see y’all next week.

Yes. Only kid I wish we would have went after was Lance LeGendre.
He was extremely mature on the tv show QB1. Had a lot of respect from him. He never came out and said it, but I think he really wanted an LSU offer.

We will sign 27-28 players.... there’s a loophole
I’d be curious to learn what those loopholes were.
I know Alabama got their kicker and another player not to count toward their numbers last year. At least that was the rumor.
We all look at numbers from a selfish fan standpoint but it sure seems like max Johnson’s dad would be financially capable to pay Max’s way his first year to save a spot. But like I said, that’s a selfish fan’s idea. The kid’s earned his right to get a free ride.
loophole has to do with players leaving during the season.

not how it works. You can sign up to 25, unless you signed less than 25 in your previous class, in which case you can back count a few early enrollees to the previous years class. We signed 25 last year.

see how that works out for you. We have had players leave the team every year, for years, if it was the case that you could just sign players to replace those that left that we wouldn't already be doing that?
Players leaving just creates space under the 85 man scholly limit, doesn't do anything for the 25 per year limit.

I have no idea what the rule is.
I do think we may need to running backs though, we started the year with Fournette, Curry, Emery, Davis Price and CEH....we may be down to two. We just can't have a chance to be down to two for the entiire season. We see how valuable great RB play is to this offense, if we don't have CEH this year we are screwed.
And that is not a slam on our other backs, they just dont seem ready.
