Have we ever seen a coach recruit so well outside of state? Miles did a fantastic job especially in Texas, but Oregeron has pulled in 13 of 16 from out of state. Accordingly to Dixon, Shipp and the 247 crew, the rest should be from Louisiana.

What this tells me is that CEO has locked down the state knowing he will pull in the top La prospects, focused on out of state elite players and created a top class. We should close top 3 in the nation, possibly #1, but Ohio State is solid and Bama always closes strong!

Since 2000 LSU has had a lot of talent but what O is bringing in here now is unreal. Lsu always gets great players but he is specifically getting great offensive lineman and Quarterbacks. This along with him getting two high end tight ends the last class is also outstanding.

IMO hes building a Miami from the 90s and early 2000s type roster.

Recruiting was what he was best at. People questioned if he could be a gameday coach (answered with a resounding yes). He was always expected to be a good recruiter.

In short, he’s the total package. Who woulda thunk it 4 years ago?

Same here. I wasn't down on him like a lot of people around here but I was hoping for Jimbo Fisher or Herman. When I saw that it was him and he was proposing a lower salary for himself I knew he would hire good assistants. Never dreamed he would have learned this much and apply that knowledge since his other coaching stints though. Very proud of the man

The most thing I respect CEO for is that fact that nobody wanted him and he still distanced himself from all the negativity and hate and focused on doing a job well. It could not have been easy! I tell others to put yourself in his place. Imagine going into work everyday and NOBODY wants you there! But he used it as motivation to succeed! I respect that about him more than anything Saban has ever accomplished! Our coach is a for real guy! A unique, special guy! We’re blessed! Class, hard work, ethical and a guy who loves LSU like family!
Hats off to the man who has accomplished more than other coaches ever will!!!!

Southern Carl’s loss is Louisiana’s gain. I would imagine that they are having serious misgivings about not giving O that job.

Only from the uninformed, and they don't count. O has always been an elite recruiter.

Outside of 3 LA guys, our biggest fish to land are not from this state.

I don’t m know how y’all don’t realize that there are at least 5-6 we’re going after hard from La. 247 guys did a great breakdown of the remaining spots and we definitely have several from La we want badly!
