Clemson has had great offensive and defensive line classes for years!

And that's why they're going to the playoffs with classes ranked lower than ours.

Has something to do with it, but it doesn't hurt that they are in ACC and play only a few good opponents during the regular season.

If I were a high school athlete, I would think about attending auburn w/ a lake. You play a few teams through the year & then gear up for 2 tough teams in late December & early January. You get free tuition, food, tail & get to play an occasional Wake Forest & Ga Tech. That is an ez life.

I’m not surprised. Dabo has something special going on.

The time of the dwarves (Saban) are over the time of man (Dabo) has just begun.

I get the inferior conference and cakewalk to the layoffs angle and completely agree but when they get there they scare Bama more than we do and last year smacked them around like has not been done so frick all that inferior crap. There legit and they're the next dynasty. Everyone should respect them and leave out the inferior talk. They can play anyone, anywhere and he confident they'll win particularly the next 2 years with Lawrence. He's the 2000s version of Peyton.

Yep. And that's great for college football and great for us. The Alabama dynasty is over, and we'll take all the help from Clemson that we can get.

Yes, but they play in an inferior league. Let them play an SEC West schedule and see what happens.

They'd probably win the division.

Wishful thinking and I’d like to think the bama dynasty is over, but as long as saban is there and he keeps getting great players, they’ll be in the hunt every year.

This isn’t exactly true. Clemson has re ruined well at DL for years. But not necessarily on OL until last two years. Clemson had an average OL before and during Watson’s time T QB. Watson just masked their OL issues. The OL this past year was Davis best, most highly rated, and most experienced. But for their second championship, they had an elite/generational type QB throwing the ball to a ton of 5 Star WR. The QB position is where Clemson has differentiated itself from LSU and others. Watson and Trevor L would have put any major D1 program in contention for playoff if they played anywhere else.

2015 pre playoff wins vs

11-3 UNC
10-3 ND
10-3 FSU

2016 pre playoff wins vs

10-3 FSU
10-4 VT
9-4 Louisville
They also beat Auburn @ Auburn (who we lost to)

2017 pre playoff wins vs

10-4 Auburn
9-4 VT
9-4 NC st

2018 pre playoff wins vs

10-3 Syracuse
9-4 TAMU @ TAMU (who we lost to)

That might not be the most daunting schedule, but it's not a walk into the playoffs either. Plus who cares when they do THIS in the playoffs:

2015 37-17 vs 11-2 Oklahoma
2016 31-0 vs 11-2 Ohio St
2018 30-3 vs 12-1 ND and 44-16 vs 14-1 Bama

Sweet. Clempson’s run is bad for Bama, but good for college football and good for LSU. We’re not really competing with them for recruits but Bama/UGA are.

Plus unlike other potential powerhouses, I don’t really have much hate for them. Amazing what Dabo has done there.

Keep telling yourself that.

44-16 has opened the floodgates for an awful lot of Clemson dick riding, but you know in your heart that if Bama and Clemson plays that game ten times, Alabama wins seven times...minimum.
