conference...the odds have to be less than 1/1 to get into the CFP at this point

Espn put Clemson at 86% likely to get in last week.

Lsu at 32% one of only 6 with a good shot. Georgia up there.
Notre Dame 28.

Florida at 10%

Clemson football was also discussed via wiretap by Clemson basketball asst coach Steve Smith like this, in relation to Zion hoops recruitment: "That's why football is so successful, is if you do it and use resources at Clemson, like you can really keep everything tight.

according to 247,

they have 11 commits in the top 335

we have 11

Current players committed that rank Top 10 in the country at their respective position according to 24/7:

Alabama:

1. Chris Braswell - #1 ranked Weak-Side DE
2. Jackson Bratton - #5 ranked ILB
3. Jayson Jones - #6 ranked DT
4. Malachi Moore - #7 ranked CB
5. Caden Clark - #9 ranked TE
6. Javier Morton - #10 ranked Safety

LSU:

1. Elias Ricks - #1 ranked CB
2. Demon Clowney - #5 ranked Weak-side DE
3. Max Johnson - #6 ranked Pro-Style QB
4. Jermaine Burton - #7 ranked WR
5. Kayshon Boutte - #8 ranked WR
6. TJ Finley - #9 ranked Pro-Style QB
7. Alec Bryant - #10 ranked Weak-side DE

Clemson:

1. Bryan Bresee - #1 ranked DT & #1 player in the country
2. RJ Mickens - #1 ranked Safety
3. Demonte Capehart - #2 ranked DT
4. Fred Davis II - #3 ranked CB
5. Mitchell Mayes - #3 ranked Guard
6. Sergio Allen - #4 ranked ILB
7. Paul Tchio - #5 ranked Guard
8. Kevin Swint - #6 ranked ILB
9. Bryn Tucker - #7 ranked Guard
10. Tre Williams - #7 ranked DT

But if you narrow that down to committed players ranked in the Top 3 at their position, you really start to see the talent that Clemson is amassing with this class:

Alabama:

1. Chris Braswell - #1 ranked Weak-Side DE

LSU:

1. Elias Ricks - #1 ranked CB

Clemson:

1. Bryan Bresee - #1 ranked DT & #1 player in the country
2. RJ Mickens - #1 ranked Safety
3. Demonte Capehart - #2 ranked DT
4. Fred Davis II - #3 ranked CB
5. Mitchell Mayes - #3 ranked Guard

And all signs point to them getting commits from 4 of the top 9 players in the country:

Bryan Bresee - #1 overall
DJ Uiagalelei - #6 overall
Jordan Burch - #8 overall
Myles Murphy - #9 overall

They have a very solid chance at having the:

#1 ranked DT (who is also the #1 player overall)
#1 ranked Safety
#1 ranked Pro-Style QB
#1 ranked Strong-Side DE

That class is fricking stacked

For the second time this week, college football has been mentioned during a federal trial into the corruption in college basketball.

This time, a Clemson assistant basketball coach was heard on an FBI wiretap talking about Clemson football, according to a reporter in the courtroom.

Clemson released a statement on the matter later Thursday.

“We are aware of the developments in federal court today involving one of our men’s basketball assistant coaches. We take this matter seriously and will immediately conduct a review,” Clemson Athletics said in a statement, per The State.

Man I was pissed a few months back when this guy told me that Clemson was in the race for DJ. I like both Finley and Johnson, but I brought up DJ on the board back when he had just finished 8th grade. I thought we could possibly beat out USC and Oregon, but no chance with Clemson. The Bryant kid aside, the last 3 multi year starters (and yes I'm considering Lawrence because it's obvious he will be starting the next 2 years), have been some of the best QBs in the country.

Tajh Boyd finished his career with over 13000 yards and 133 TDs

Deshaun Watson finished his career with over 12000 yards and 116 TDs

Lawrence already has 3400 yards and 31 TDs and barring injury will hit the 4000/40 mark for a QB in 2019. Because he doesn't run that much, I don't expect him to have near the yards, his TDs, should be close to Watson.

DJ looks at that, the fact that Clemson is already in dynasty mode, the fact that their coach is locked down for a decade, the first round potential, and all the other talent they amass, and it's easy to see why'd he'd pick there.

Hopefully Brennan, Parrish, and one of the two we have for 2020, can give QBs hope that we aren't a death trap for passing offense and QB development.
