but i just don't see crowton not imposing his offense on the team at some point. he is the OC

Crowton does not just run the option or spread option. He runs a multiple set offense that can utilize the spread or power running game. He has done this everywhere but Oregon. I’ve seen him run pro sets with a vertical passing game in the pros and at Tech. He also ran a spread passing scheme at Tech.

If so...here is a short clip of Claiborne...just two plays...but he looks like a playmaker.

dude

crowton is a spread guy

always has been, always will be

he only recently added the spread option (when he was at oregon) to his offense

he inherited jimbo's playbook last year and incorporated lots of i-form

this offense you speak of is 1.5 years old

I'll just say that while at Tech his spread was more pass oriented that run oriented (ala Florida), so I guess we agree on that. I just think we're already running most of Crowton's offense...more so than Miles'.

but there is a rhythm problem in the offensive playcalling. this is b/c crowton and miles have 2 vastly different styles of offense, and the middle road b/w them hasn't been found yet

have they ever told you their philosophies on offense? Guess you can know by watching them in the urinal. You are pathetic!

UF never ran the spread

UF was run-oriented

rattay threw for like 5,000 yards. i'd call that "more pass oriented"

anytime we line up in the i, we're doing something crowton never really did before

SFP

The beauty of Crowton AND Crowton's offense has ALWAYS been about adapting to the team's AND the QB's ability/personality. Crowton will run the offense that LM wants, OR he moves on...simple as that! We might more of a spread one particular week, then more of a spread-option the next. A lot of it has to do with who you're playing and exploiting their weaknesses. That's why they call it a "game plan."

Don't you get that, or do you REALLY like arguing that much? Never mind, I just looked at your post count; I know the answer to that question already!!!

If he was such a play maker- LSU, Texas and Oklahoma would have offers on the table.

Claiborne might be a bigger play maker, I have no idea because I have not seen film on him yet.

Yeah, SFP ignores this.

Since Claiborne will wait to signing day to be a Tiger, SFP says we should have waited to offer him.

We know Michael will wait, so we are holding off. But, SFP wants us to offer now.

That argument has run you into a circle, SFP.

So how is it STILL a timing issue?

I meant that Florida's spread is run oriented (after reading what I wrote, it didn't look that way). But Florida does run a spread.
My point though is that Crowton's offense is not limited to one type. I do believe the power running is due to Miles' influence, and I also think the two can mesh together very well.
